14+ Things To Know About Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper has been a pretty big name in Hollywood for some time now, but you've probably been hearing a lot more about him since *A Star is Born *has been burning up the box office.

If you haven't seen the movie yet, I can't recommend it enough. Bradley literally burrows his way into your heart and sets up permanent camp, and we don't mind it one bit.

1. From a young age, Bradley's father enjoyed introducing him to films.

The Elephant Man was a favorite of his, and actually part of the reason he wanted to go into acting in the first place, he told The Telegraph.

2. He explained that his parents were initially unsure about his decision to become an actor.

They expected him to go into finance at first, but once they saw him play the part of John Merrick in The Elephant Man at the Actor's Studio, he convinced them that acting was the right career choice.

"I was so concerned what you thought of me, how I was coming across, how I would survive the day. I always felt like an outsider. I just lived in my head. I realized I wasn't going to live up to my potential, and that scared the hell out of me. I thought, 'Wow, I'm actually gonna ruin my life; I'm really gonna ruin it," he explained to *The Hollywood Reporter*.
