6 Starburst DIYs That Every '90s Kid Will Totally Want

Diply 2 Apr 2018

If someone were to ask me to name a favorite candy, Starburst would definitely be my number one pick. I'll never turn down one of those sweet and chewy squares — especially if it's red. And I know I'm not the only one who would bypass all of the chocolate, licorice, and bubble gum in the world for a pack of juicy Starburst.

Another reason why I love Starburst candies so much is because they remind me of my childhood. As a '90s kid, not only was eating a pack of Starburst amazing, but so was using the packaging and individual wrappers to make things like bracelets and purses.

So, if you're like me and you can't get enough of this classic treat, you're about to be bursting with excitement — see what I did there? What I've done is thrown together a list of Starburst-inspired crafts, and it's waiting for you to enjoy below! And the best part? Each DIY is a nod to everyone's favorite decade: the '90s.

And you can even add a clasp to it, because, you know, you're an adult now, and that would be the proper, adult thing to do.

A lot of weird and random things happened in the '90s. From bra strap headbands to foam platform sandals to super low-rise bell bottom jeans, all the rules were thrown out the window back in that glorious decade.

And even though the thought of putting a Starburst on top of a cookie and melting it has never crossed my mind, I feel like it's something my '90s self definitely would've tried. You can't go wrong combining the crumbly softness of a cookie with the juicy tang of a Starburst, that's for sure.

Another sweet treat that makes me think about the '90s are gigantic lollipops, and it's probably because as a kid, I always saw them at county fairs and amusement parks.
