Twitter Came Together To Figure Out What 'Rick And Morty' Is, And The Results Are Hilarious

Diply 15 Dec 2017

After the Rick and Morty Mcdonald's Szechuan sauce controversy that rocked the world, you would think people would know what the show is by now. But apparently, there are still people out there living under a rock with no internet.

Twitter decided to step in and help out this person who really had no idea what Rick and Morty was, and the results are nothing you would ever expect.

Here's what you missed if you aren't caught up on pop culture and don't have access to internet: Rick and Morty is an adult animated series that airs on Adult Swim.

The series follows the crazy adventures of a mad scientist named Rick and his grandson, Morty, as they split their time between life on Earth and interdimensional journeys.

Sounds crazy, right?

It's a show that's definitely flying under the radar compared to other adult animated shows like The Simpsons and Family Guy.

But it's become more and more popular thanks to its passionate fan base rallying behind it.

@sadgirlkms on Twitter decided to ask an innocent question, and the internet got in on the action.

Who knew that a simple tweet like, "isnt rick and morty that thing you get when you die and your body gets all stiff" could spark something crazy?

The replies that @sadgirlkms got did not disappoint. The first reply kicked it all off, saying Rick and Morty was not rigor mortis but was actually Rickrolling.

From rheumatology to...Armadillidiidae?! That word has way too many "i"s, and I don't like it one bit.

But we're not quite there because it's not a movie, and it also has nothing to do with Will Ferrell...

But of course, whenever you take one step forward, you have to take at least five million back, which is what Twitter user Matthew Walker did.

Just when you think it can't get any better, IT GETS BETTER.

It's gone from two different Will Ferrell movies to a breed of dog to a Kendrick Lamar song to a Ricky Martin song.

And finally, after way too many replies in the thread to count, we've finally reached the right answer. Props to @saverocknrcll on Twitter for ending this hilarious journey!
