This Woman's Tragic Tale About Buying Pants Proves You Should Never Shop Online

Diply 5 Dec 2017

One of the most quoted lines from Forrest Gump has to be this one: "My mom always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

Forrest had no idea what it's like to shop online. You can't trust the photos, and sometimes, you just can't trust the reviews.

Here's what happened to a woman who just wanted a pair of pants.

When you're camping and everyone is huddled around the campfire roasting marshmallows, people always think that's the best time to tell scary stories.

I'm purely there for the s'mores. I'll pass on listening to stories about creepy kids.

And you know what would be the best kind of scary story to tell? ONLINE SHOPPING HORROR STORIES. Because everyone's got them!

I have returned so many things over the years that have been absolute fails.

Danielle aka @psychedelime on Twitter is no stranger to this.

She is a 19-year-old makeup artist hailing from Edinburgh who has recently posted about her fail when purchasing from the website PrettyLittleThing.

She thought she was buying a pair of "Red Basic Jersey Flared Trousers" on sale, but she got more than she was expecting.

On the model, they look so cute and chic!

When she received the pants in the mail, Danielle was shook. Maybe even shook to the point where she was shooketh!

JUST LOOK AT HOW LONG THEY ARE ON HER.

Poor Danielle! She thought she was going to be able to achieve her '70s aesthetic, but she got these ridiculously long pants instead.

She literally has them up to her chest, and only then do they become the right length.

But the real question is this: What did they look like when she actually tried them on? Well, she's acquired what look to be flippers.

She can easily propel herself through the water with those bad boys.

The best part was Danielle's reaction to the whole thing. Her tweet just summed up the situation: "seriously ???? do @OfficialPLT think am fking slenderman"

SLENDERMAN. CAN YOU IMAGINE SLENDERMAN WEARING THESE?!

If Danielle doesn't want to wear the pants — I mean, who can blame her if she doesn't? — I know someone who would fit those and probably look fabulous in them, too.

Recently, the internet found out that a company named Joyfay is selling a giant teddy bear that's stands over 6.5 feet. It comes in your choice of brown or white.

A six-and-a-half-foot teddy bear? That sounds...terrifying.

Not only is the teddy bear massive, it also has unusually long legs. We're talking legs longer than its torso, which makes it look, well, extremely creepy.

With those long legs, don't you think the teddy bear would totally rock those red pants?

PrettyLittleThing should create a whole collection for this teddy bear to wear, IMO. LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN.
