Viral pics are great and all, and they're all over the internet for a while. Everybody needs to see what the latest amazing thing was. But just as quickly as they appear, they're gone, replaced by the next one.

These pics have a bit more staying power behind them. They might go viral, but they're not just a flash in the pan. They leave a lasting impression.

1. The guy on the ground is blind. Moments earlier, he was on the tracks in this subway station, having lost his way.
