36 Mysteries That Weren't Too Hard To Solve

Diply 3 Jul 2018

When police in fiction get stumped by a master criminal, they can count on a super detective like Sherlock Holmes or Batman to find all the clues and unravel the evil schemes. Unfortunately, we don't have anyone like that in real life, so our mysteries often don't get solved.

But the situations on this list are so elementary that not even those cops would bother firing up the bat signal.

1. So what's this, the case of the guy who thought a public proposal was good idea?

Instagram | Instagram

Actually, no. This was a social experiment set up by a prank channel on YouTube, so even the guys who scream, "It's a prank, bro," know not to do this for real.

2. This may not solve any mysteries for us, but we've probably just helped a few confused baristas out.

And it's a good thing because the phrase "secret menu" already sends a chill down their spines. Let's not make things worse with a nonsense word.

3. Apparently this isn't someone who took it personally when their coworkers complained about them microwaving tuna.

4. Well, that's one theory as to how the case of the phantom balcony unfolded.

Personally, I think whoever designed this forgot where they wanted to put the utility closet until it was too late.

I mean, what would you do with an extra balcony?

5. Of course, it always helps when the people involved just explain the whole thing for you so there is no mystery.

Granted, it means we can't smugly turn to our fellow detectives and say, "Case closed," but that's a small price to pay for saving ourselves some work.

6. Hmm, I think they took a picture without the books first and put that as the cover on the ones they're holding.

Instagram | @will_ent

Notice how their arms are conveniently covering the spots where they'd be carrying the books?

But the real mystery is why they even bothered.

7. Tut tut, it seems that our amateur detective here missed one crucial detail.

Dude probably doesn't care that he left his location on because he and his best mate Liam really are on a cute date.

So yeah, probably time to move on.

8. Well, it should be easy enough to figure out why they turned all these books around.

After all, what kind of mystery gives you all the clues you need to solve it right off the bat? You have to dig for those.

9. Aww. Well, I for one am glad to know the reason why this little addition exists.

Still, this doesn't answer how they were able to do this without freaking out their landlord or the building inspectors.

I'm just not sure this is up to code.

11. Again, this is no big mystery for us, but we probably just put a few anxious minds at ease.

I'm glad to help because I know I wouldn't like worrying that the FBI, NSA, and the CIA will hold a big jamboree on my lawn.
