20 Holy Grail Morning Hacks Because We All Hate Mornings

Waaaaaake up! I am most definitely not a morning person and struggle a lot with getting out of bed in the morning, especially on dreary days like today when everything seems to be against me.

So there are definitely some mornings when I look a little worse for wear. In fact, one of the other Diply writers and I message each other in the morning to check to see how "human" we're going to look on any given day. Bless that friendship.

I don't blame you if you need some help, because I know I do! Here are some Holy Grail hacks to get us through the morning blues.

1. Save some time by showering before bed instead of in the morning.

Some people will find this gross, others already do it. Honestly, it's totally up to you, but I think saving some extra time is key!

2. Curl your lashes to give them more volume.

Curling your lashes gives the illusion that your eyes are much larger than they actually are. This makes you look so much more awake!

3. Nude eyeliner can help make your eyes look larger and more awake.

This is a hack that I've used almost every morning since the first time I wrote about it. Since I wear glasses, it also helps my eyes stand out from behind them!

4. Do some yoga as soon as you wake up!

5. Set multiple alarms to make sure you get up in the morning.

6. Go for that "wet hair" look that's totally trendy right now.

All you need is a little bit of mousse or styling gel, then run your fingers through your hair. You'll look effortlessly cool.

7. Buy yourself a sunrise alarm clock to help simulate the sunrise.

This spray is supposed to help hydrate your face and make your skin look brighter and more awake.

Apparently, lemon water can help in the morning by kick-starting your metabolism! Which is pretty important, especially if you had a few too many drinks the night before.

12. Turn on all the lights when you first wake up.

Today was a dull, dark, and dreary day. It was hard AF to get out of bed this morning (okay, I didn't get out of bed this morning — perks of working from home!). BUT, if you get up, opening the blinds and turning on the lights will help A LOT.
