Kick Back And Relax With This Cute Phone Stand

Diply 30 Jul 2018

Have you ever had one of those days where you'd give anything to be sitting on a beach chair with your toes in the sand?

Well, when you can't hit the beach scene, the next best thing is to set your phone up in its own little chair like it's having its own fun in the sun.

The materials are cheap, and it's a simple, fun project that you can do in less than a half hour!

To add this fun phone holder to your work space, assemble the materials below and get crafting!

Using your phone to guide you, place two popsicle sticks next to each other vertically.

They should be your phone's width apart. This will help you make sure your phone fits its new little chair.

Next, cut a wooden skewer to the width of your phone.

You'll want to apply hot glue to each end of the skewer and attach it to the end of both popsicle sticks.

Repeat this with another skewer at the other end of the popsicle sticks.

Basically, you're building the first framework of your chair.

It doesn't look like much now, but trust me, it's going to be absolutely adorable!

Around 3/4 of the way down the popsicle sticks, hot glue another popsicle stick at an angle so that it makes an X.

Do this on the outside of both popsicle sticks.

Next, hot glue another length of skewer between the new popsicle sticks.

Put it on the end furthest from where the other skewers join the wider part of your mini beach chair.

Next, cut a popsicle stick in half.

Glue it across the two popsicle sticks on the outside just above where they meet in the X. You'll want to do this on both sides.

You're almost done! Take a rectangular piece of fabric slightly wider than the frame of the chair.

Using hot glue, hem both sides to create a clean edge — you don't want any fraying to happen!

Place the stick chair onto the fabric and fold an end of the fabric over the skewer near the X.

Hot glue it in place, and make sure you have enough fabric to do the same on the other side.

Next, flip the chair around and fold the other end of the fabric over the nearest skewer.

Hot glue it in place and make sure it's secure. You don't want your phone to fall out of its little seat!

And voila! That's all there is to it!

Now your phone has a comfy, summery, place to lounge when you’re not using it.
