Khloé Kardashian Is Taking Action After Her Baby Was Cyberbullied

Diply 19 Sep 2018

Listen, I'm just as shocked as you are. Who knew that in the year that should represent humans at their most progressive point in history we'd be discussing a 5-month-old getting cyberbullied.

It really makes you think. Or in my case, drop my head in both palms.

*Deep breath*

Here we go.

Some basic facts you need to know: Kim Kardashian has a 9-month-old son named Chicago West, and Khloé Kardashian has a 5-month-old daughter named True Thompson.

Babies, amirite? Adorable, amirite?

One more fact: Kylie Jenner has 7-month-old daughter named Stormi Webster.

In other words, the Kardashian-Jenner sisters have three super cute kids who are all around the same age.

So, when you put all three of those kids together in a single photo, you obviously shatter the cute meter.

You may be wondering, "Who could possibly have anything negative to say about this purest of pure image?"

Oh, dear. Bless your innocent heart.

I hate to break it to you, but there exists a ninth circle of Hades, and it's called... dramatic music plays ...THE INTERNET!!!

The internet is a remarkable place where even the most wholesome of content can be destroyed with a little sub-circle commonly known as (cover your children's ears!) the comments section.

Load Comments

As if determined to discredit their own basic humanity, people began calling baby True "ugly" in the comments section.

How are you gonna say the rudest thing and then tell people not to @ you?

No, we're definitely going to @ you.

Other people, equally committed to raising my blood pressure, insinuated that True — WHO IS A GIRL — looked like a boy.

Did y'all really not get enough love in your childhoods? What's the root cause of this aggression?

Worst of all, though, were the people who genuinely thought it was A-OK to make racist comments about True's skin tone.

I'm upset that I even have to type the following words because they should be intrinsic to everyone:

It is never OK to discriminate against or antagonize anybody based on the color of their skin.

Obviously, this applies to people of all ages, but it's extra spirit-crushing when a 5-month-old child is being targeted.

Come on, guys, why do you gotta ruin my day?

Prior to these awful comments, Khloé had been posting photos of True on her Instagram as usual.

*Sigh of relief*

The adorableness of this photo is helping to improve my mood.

But in the most recent photo that Khloé post of True, she turned off the comments!

Any guesses as to why? Hmm, trolls of the web?!

Load Comments

IT'S PROBABLY BECAUSE WE DON'T DESERVE TO COMMENT ON PHOTOS OF TRUE. NOT ANYMORE!

How sad is it that? As far as I can tell,Khloé feels the need to protect her infant daughter from cyberbullies by turning off Instagram comments.

But I really can't blame Khloé. After all, this isn't the first time that an internet troll has commented on True's appearance.

An unfortunate fact, I know.

In a now-deleted tweet, one user said, "Is it just me or is Khloé Kardashian's baby, True, not cute at all?"

Why, yes, my faith in humanity is hanging by a thread! Thanks for asking!

This time, Khloé gave the troll a piece of her mind.

Twitter | @khloekardashian

If someone on Twitter called your child (or your niece, nephew, or sister) "not cute," I think you can agree that this would be a pretty fair response.

Bottom line: Why do I, or Khloé Kardashian, have to defend an infant against bullies?

YouTube | E! Entertainment

Really, trolls? You're going to stoop that low to the ground? Y'all are subterranean!

Here's my advice to the haters: Find that small, warm place in your heart and focus really, really hard on it.

Because if you find yourself leaving mean or racist comments about a child, then you've likely been neglecting that part.
