Kendall Jenner Is Getting Roasted Online For Photoshopping Her Body, And It's Pure Mayhem

Diply 7 Jun 2018

As I'm sure you're aware, the internet is a vast, fascinating place full of valuable information just waiting to be absorbed. It's also a viciously cynical black hole depicting the worst parts of humanity, altogether endorsed by Satan himself.

The following is an example of the latter.

And yes, I am being flippin' dramatic. I'm upset, alright?!

The other day, Kourtney Kardashian posted this super fun photo on the 'Gram.

Kourtney posed alongside Kendall Jenner, Jordyn Woods, and one of the Khadra twins (I'm not sure which, and I think that's understandable) for the ultimate summer #GirlSquad photo op.

But the comments section — a notorious piece of the internet known for its shockingly effective ability to ruin your day — was chock-full of haters.

I'm not just talking about one or two people having a bad day and taking it out on the Kar-Jens.

I'm talking about a solid 85% of the comments just ripping the photo to shreds.

Like, was it a full moon recently or something? 'Cause y'all have gone off the edge with this one.

To make matters worse, there were layers to the hate.

First off, a bunch of people went ahead and body shamed Kendall Jenner for being too skinny — as if it's not 2018 and we haven't educated people on the dangers of body shaming a billion times over.

BTW, I'm really tired of women being labeled as too anything.

Too skinny. Too fat. Too sexy. Too bossy.Newsflash: Women don't have to exist within the parameters of anybody's criteria.

Next, a few others decided to make a big freakin' deal out of Kendall Jenner's tan lines.

Oh, no, someone order DEFCON 2! Kendall Jenner gets tan lines just like other human beings!!!

Thanks for alerting us, eagle-eyed IG users. You've saved the world.

And last but certainly not least in this three-tiered cake of internet trolls (generously iced with my disappointment in humanity), the Photoshop police showed up.

Obviously, by "Photoshop police," I mean everybody with eyes and an internet connection.

Most of the hate was directed at the seemingly extreme length of Kendall Jenner's legs.

Look, I'm not here to say the that Kar-Jens have never edited their photos.

But in this case, we should take into account Kendall's height (she's 5'10'') as well as posing and angles — both of which Kendall, a top model, has clearly mastered.

And on behalf of women everywhere, I am so freaking exhausted by the amount of shame we have to endure for deviating from whatever standards society has assigned to us.

Remember this, haters: Women have a choice.

Whether that choice includes an exercise routine, tan lines, or cosmetic surgery, it's really only their concern because they're the only ones with ownership over their body.

Not to mention, the women-on-women hating is blatantly counterproductive in this area.

We can do so much better in this department, especially when it comes to online comments.

Can't we all just support each other?

Sorry, I am aware that this has been a very rant-y post.

So please excuse me, I obviously need a spa day or some Netflix to help myself relax now. What do you think of Kendall getting body shamed? Let us know in the COMMENTS!
