Kelly Clarkson Savagely Defended Her Comments That Offended 'The Voice' Contestant

Diply 28 Mar 2018

Apparently, things can still get heated on The Voice even when the cameras stop rolling.

This was certainly the case when an eliminated contestant, Molly Stevens, took to Instagram to express her grievances towards Kelly Clarkson's comments about her singing style.

Molly was recently eliminated in the Battle Rounds, despite Kelly saying that she has a “crazy, cool Indigo Girls-Melissa Etheridge-Patty Griffin greatness.”

In a since-deleted post, Molly expressed some disdain because she felt that Kelly was comparing her to singers like Melissa Etheridge and the Indigo Girls because she is also gay.

The competitor explained that Kelly's comments "did us all a disservice and only threw us into a labeling trap."

A Kelly Clarkson fan screenshot the comment before it was deleted and called Molly out, claiming that Kelly has always supported the gay community.
