Here's What 'The Incredibles 2' Characters Look Like Next To The Actors Who Voice Them

Diply 29 Jun 2018

Many of us rushed directly to the theater (and did not pass GO), with the release of Incredibles 2 — mostly because we have all been waiting over a decade for this sequel to come out.

While we were mesmerized by the animated action onscreen, we forgot that there were actual people voicing the characters, and seeing them IRL is a bit of a shock.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead!

1. Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) - Craig T. Neslon

You might know Craig from such shows as Parenthood and the Poltergeist movies, which many fans have connected to Jack-Jack's power of teleportation to another dimension.

2. Helen Parr (Elastigirl) - Holly Hunter

Holly is back with that perfect tone of a mom raising three antsy kids who also has the responsibility of saving the world from time to time.

3. Dash - Huck Milner

Since it's been forever and a day since the original film, the actor who played Dash in the original film grew up (as people usually do).

Since the second film took off right where the first left off, they still needed Dash to have the voice of a child, and so Huck Milner came in to save the day.

4. Violet - Sarah Vowell

Unlike her onscreen brother, who is voiced by a kid, the voice behind Violet is a grown woman, and color us shook.

I will never not be surprised when I find out that adults have voiced child characters.

5. Frozone - Samuel L. Jackson

The Incredibles wouldn't be the same without Frozone and his amazing super suit.

Mr. Jackson's voice is forever ingrained in my head, and I tend to mimic him whenever I'm looking for any piece of clothing. "Where is my summer dress?!"

6. Winston Deavor - Bob Odenkirk

I, personally, am used to seeing/hearing Bob Odenkirk as a slimy swindler in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, so I definitely didn't trust him throughout the movie.

Little did I know that he wasn't the Deavor sibling I had to worry about.

7. Evelyn Deavor - Catherine Keener

After watching this woman in Get Out, I decided never to trust her again, and I was right.

There was something about her voice that made me wonder — that, and the fact that her name sounds like "Evil Endeavor."

8. Jack-Jack - Eli Fucile

No, Eli is not a baby anymore.

But it turns out that Eli's dad was a collaborator with the film's director, Brad Bird, during the time they were making the first movie. Eli was just a baby, and his dad would follow him around with a mic to record Jack-Jack's voice.

They used some archive recordings to bring Jack-Jack to life once again.

9. Sophia Bush - Voyd

The voice behind the new superhero that has captured all of our hearts is none other than One Tree Hill's Sophia Bush.

On being cast in the film, Sophia said, "I screamed out loud." TBH, we would, too.

10. Edna Mode - Brad Bird

That's right. The voice behind the iconic Edna Mode is actually the film's director, Brad Bird.

We will remember this fact whenever we say, "No capes!"

11. Ambassador Henrietta Selick - Isabella Rossellini

I will always and forever remember Isabella Rossellini from that Friends episode where Ross deletes her from his "list" and then she actually rolls into the coffee shop.

Also, fun fact: Her character's name is a play on Henry Selick, the director of The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach.

12. Rick Dicker - Jonathan Banks

Tumblr | disney-strology

Jonathan Banks was able to reunite on-screen with his Better Call Saul costar, Bob Odenkirk, by voicing Rick Dicker.

Sadly, Banks was brought in after Bud Luckey, who voiced Dicker in the original film, passed away in early 2018.
