Couples Share Their Love Stories To Help A Stranger Turn His Sadness Into Happiness

Diply 8 Mar 2018

Breakups are tough. It takes a lot of learning and a lot of heart to try and find the right person. A lot of the time we make mistakes and give our hearts to people who don't deserve them. Sometimes we date someone who is wonderful, but just not the person for us.

But they say you'll know when you've met The One. I have my reservations about that, but that's an opinion for another time.

When you do find that perfect person, it makes sense that you'd want to get married and build a life together.

But weddings are so expensive! And so are engagement rings. I know some people who think they should cost at least three months salary! That's insane.

Steven Crocker is someone who thought that he had found The One.

Unfortunately, circumstances changed and Steven was left with a broken heart. But he maintains a positive outlook that love is still out there, even if it hasn't found him yet.

He had purchased an engagement ring that he was not able to use.

Instead of returning it or selling it, he's decided that he wants to do something kind with it.

It takes a pretty strong person to still believe in love after being hurt like that.

The post he shared, along with a picture of the ring, is beautiful and a little bit crushing.

I think it's interesting and kind of sweet that he doesn't want to share his story.

It seems important to him that this ring brings nothing but joy, and he doesn't want any residual sadness attached to it.

So, he suggests a bit of a contest. He will send the ring to the couple he finds most deserving of it.

He asked people to send along pictures of themselves with their significant others, and to share their love stories with him.

Much to his surprise, he has received countless emails and posts from people wanting to share their stories.

He continues to update the post as he receives more and more emails. He is hoping to make a decision soon.

How sweet is that? I think it takes a lot of guts to be so brave in the face of pain.

Sometimes, it's the little things that keep us together in the end.

Others have posted some beautiful stories without wanting the ring. They just want Steven to know that love is out there and it can get you through even the hardest of things.

It's always important to remember that things do get better, no matter how bad they seem.

So, this is pretty much one of the most beautiful and pure things I've ever seen on the internet.
