This DIY Flower Bowl Is As Pretty As The Rings It Holds

Owning lots of pretty rings and jewelry is one of the joys of life.

But finding somewhere to store those baubles is one of the challenges of life.

That's what makes this cute flower ring and jewelry holder so fun.

It's a quick DIY project, and when you're done, you have a unique way to store your favorite pieces of bling that's just as cute and fun as the jewelry you use to adorn yourself!

Gather up a few items, which you should be able to find at any craft store, and get started on this cute ring holder!

On a sheet of white shrink film, draw a circle using a plate to trace the shape perfectly.

For this, use your fine-point marker pen. The circle you draw will be the starting shape for your flower.

Within the circle, use your fine-tip marker pen to draw whatever kind of flower tickles your fancy.

Be careful as you're drawing at this stage, as it's easy to smudge the ink.

Add some depth and definition to your flower using the Sharpie.

After your flower is defined and fully dry, cut it out using your scissors. You don't have to be super exact as you cut, as those "flaws" will add extra interest to your bowl.

Preheat your oven to 300°F.

While your oven's heating up, place some parchment paper on a baking sheet. Then, place your flower onto the parchment paper.

It's unlikely that the flower will stick, but the parchment allows for easy removal.

Now, watch in wonder as the flower shrinks before your very eyes!

While the shrink film is still warm and flexible — but not so that it will burn you — place it in a bowl.

Press down so that the flower takes the shape of the bowl. Let the shrink film cool before removing it from the bowl.

For the final step, spray the ink of your flower design with clear coat spray to protect it from smudging.

Remember to let it dry fully before you fill it with all of your favorite baubles.

And that's it! You can now use your flower bowl to hold your favorite rings and other jewelry.
