When it comes to subtle details in movies, Disney takes the crown.

The animation company is always hiding Easter eggs in the corners of their films, and most of these sneaky secrets are practically impossible to spot the first time around.

Luckily, we have the internet to help us out in that department.

1. Ariel's dress is actually a combination of gowns worn by Disney royalty before her.

The color comes from Cinderella's mother's dress (ripped apart by the evil stepsisters), the puffy sleeves with diamond embroidery come from Snow White's dress, and the scoop neck was inspired by Aurora's gown.

2. Aladdin tosses an apple to Jasmine several times throughout the movie, but not for nothing.

In one scene, Aladdin throws her an apple as the two fly over Greece.In ancient Greece, tossing an apple to a woman was the same as proposing to her.

3. Most of the action in Cinderella takes place within approximately 24 hours.

Excluding the set-up and finale scenes (like Cinderella's wedding), the primary story happens in just over a day.

The day begins with Cinderella doing chores, the ball takes place that evening, and she tries on the glass slipper the next morning.
