I'm literally single AF so it feels like I'm always crushing on someone. Probs because I always am, LOL. Could be someone from work, a neighbor (looking at you, boo), a friend of a friend, someone I met online...but I always manage to find someone to lose my mind over.

But the minute said crush begins crushing back, I'm so not interested.

After bringing this up with a few friends, I realize that this happens to all of us. But how come? Like, if said crush were to date someone else, I would be pissed. Gosh. What is wrong with me?

Emotions are so complicated, a waste of time, and more often than not, completely unnecessary. Where do I unsubscribe?

You mean acting like an idiot? Same.

Suddenly I forget how to speak in proper sentences and I start muttering nothing but gibberish like a moron. Why? WHY?! Hope my crush writes it off as a cute quirk!

See, like I said before, I don't want to be in a relationship with you. Don't ask me the reasoning behind that, emotions are confusing okay??? But I sure as heck don't want you dating anyone else.

Not that I posted them for them to see, but...

I've been known to post selfies because I know my crush is online atm (gotta love that FB messenger). Then I'll be sitting there refreshing the app like a trillion and one times until that ~magical~ notification pops up. If it doesn't? I'm done for. Like, can you just validate me, please? PLEASE.

You're right.

So with that being said, I think I'll continue to admire my crush from afar. Relationships are rocky and I'm not prepared to emotionally commit to something like that.
CAN YOU BLAME ME?

I HATE WHEN THIS HAPPENS! What is the reasoning behind this? Can someone like a relationship expert please LMK? It is honestly so frustrating, you guys.

Oh, that explains a lot.

Wow...this explains everything from high school onward. Doing stupid things for the sake of getting someone to like you...all because common sense is no longer in the building...it me!
