Don't let the pipe cutter in the materials list of this project scare you off.

Although it may sound like an expensive piece of complicated equipment, it's actually a simple tool you can buy for as little as $5 at most hardware or home improvement stores.

And for this project, in particular, using one will make you feel like an ancient craftsman from the dark ages.

Plus, the end result will look terrific as part of your fall decor.

Gather up your materials, and let's cut some copper!

To begin, cut your pipe to various lengths using your pipe cutter.

There's no need to measure any of the pieces of your pipe. Just cut them to lengths that look good to you.

Next, arrange all of the pipe pieces in any way you like.

Include the test tube as a mini vase to hold your plant or flower. You can put it amongst the pipe piece or on the end.

Add a small amount of the Gorilla Glue to attach each piece to one another.

Be careful as you use the Gorilla Glue — it's adhesive powers are impressive, and it can easily adhere to your skin, causing pretty much anything to stick to you.

Use a straight surface — such as a ruler — to line up the bottom of the pipes before the glue dries so that you have an even base.

Make sure to do this step right after you've applied the glue so it doesn't have a chance to dry.

Leave the centerpiece to dry completely so that the pipe and test tube pieces don't move around.

It's best to leave your centerpiece for at least 24-hours so that you know it's completely dry.

Insert candles into some of the pipe pieces and plants or flowers into the test tube.

Be careful where you set the centerpiece! Set it on a sturdy surface when you light the candles (i.e. a mantle) where no one will bump it and knock it over. You can also buy LED candle sticks.
