At least, she rode her trike to work until some jerk snipped the lock and stole it during her shift.

As you can imagine, Bridget was in tears when she got off work and discovered her trike gone.

But Bridget has some love in her life, and that was never more apparent than after her trike was stolen. Her boss, Angela, immediately started up a GoFundMe page to buy her a new trike, and her family provided the first donations.

They set a goal of raising $350 for Bridget's new trike, and Angela hoped to raise even more so she could improve on the trike Bridget had been using.

And yes, people came through! They opened their hearts and their wallets, and Angela blew her goal out of the water.

Within a week, that $350 goal was well in the rearview mirror, with more than $5000 raised!

It was enough to buy Bridget a pretty awesome trike, one with back support, lights, and pedal assistance. And Angela says the extra money will go towards helping Bridget with her gas and electric bills, get her some new work shoes, a new winter coat, some clothes, and a better bike lock.

Of course, the main thing is that she has her transportation back.

"Bridget goes to the laundromat with her bike," Angela told local news. "She does everything with her bike. She has two dogs and gives them rides on her bike. It was something I had to do."
