Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson broke up earlier this month and sent everyone into a literal social media tizzy.

Ariana has had a tough year to say the least, and calling off the engagement totally seemed like the right thing to do. And while their relationship may have been fast, the breakup was anything but furious.

The two initially met when Ari hosted Saturday Night Live in March 2016, where Pete was starring in his second season of the show.

Just two bright stars, taking on the world!!!!

At the time, both Ari and Pete were in different relationships (Ariana was with Mac Miller and Pete Davidson was with Cassie David) so the two didn't really ~*connect*~ until two years later.

The couple first debuted their relationship in an Instagram official pic that made us all SCREAM on May 30.

Remember when Ariana commented with "u tryna slytherin?" and we all died briefly?

The couple constantly hyped each other up on their social media accounts, and Pete even clapped back at people who dared troll him, but isn't that what we all want out of a relationship?
