Jessica Simpson is spilling the tea on a secret romance she had with a “massive movie star” years ago.
Just when you thought you knew everything about her relationship history, the 42-year-old singer and actress has now added a mystery man to her list of exes, and their story certainly reads like a steamy romance novel.

In an essay she wrote titled Movie Star: They Always Say They’re Single , Simpson revealed she was introduced to the famous actor at the MTV VMAs after-party in 2001, when she and ex-boyfriend Nick Lachey were on a break.
‘Undressing Me With His Eyes’
“[T]his megastar, who I grew up thinking was so hot, eyeballed me up and down. Like he was undressing me with his eyes,” she wrote of that first encounter.
She Got His Number But Didn’t Call
Later, Simpson ran into the mystery actor, who she said made “made millions and millions per film,” at a Los Angeles gym. He gave her his number but she never called because she got back together with Lachey soon after.
Their First Kiss
In 2006, Simpson and Lachey divorced, and then she reconnected with the unnamed guy. They met up at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where they had their first kiss.
How The Kiss Felt
“I felt this warm rush all the way down my body, to the tips of my toes in my wedges,” was how she described that kiss.
He Had A Girlfriend
She then revealed that the man had a girlfriend.
“Shortly after, I saw a photo of Movie Star on a red carpet with her,” she wrote. “I was never ever in a million years going to be the other woman.”
Secret Romance
The guy convinced her that it was over between him and his girlfriend, and so they carried on with their secret romance. She said she once visited him on the set of his movie and was told to enter his hotel via the fire stairs to hide from photographers. It made her feel “like a call girl.”
It Turned Out He Had A ‘Chick’
Later, she found out he was trying to “hide me from his chick,” not the press. They ended up not having sex, and she left the next morning without telling him.
She Felt Empowered By The Incident
Though he tried to call her, she never answered. And just like that, it was over.
“That was the first time I ever felt truly empowered since I was married, and it was mine alone,” she wrote.
