The Reddit mom started off by describing how she and her spouse married early and had three kids in the span of five years. A few years after, the duo went apart, and while she chose to remain single, her former spouse married someone else, and so did their co-parenting journey begins.

The Redditor relayed that she and her ex’s wife, Ani, had a complicated relationship due to how she seemed to be in competition with her because of the kids. The OP stated that Ani was jealous when the kids were younger because she had primary custody of her kids. despite how Ani seemed to be drawn to the kids, and extra caring, two of the Redditors’ children were not all affectionate. This did not deter Ani from trying to spend more time with the children.
According to the Redditor, Ani once accused her of rubbing it in her face that she had no kids, and that she was using the kids to hurt her. With time, things became intense between Ani and OP, but her ex-husband did not seem to be working to settle things. The father of kids initially did not spend a lot of time with the children due to the nature of his job, and he once suggested that Ani take over this time, which the Redditor opposed.
Years later, he switched jobs and their arrangement was back to the usual. Even at that things got tenser between the mom of three and her ex’s wife. Ani started referring to herself as the mom of the OP’s kids, making her jealous. While OP tried to suppress the feeling for the sake of the kids, she would often get annoyed each time Ani introduced herself to people as the mother. The Redditor added that this also caused some confusion.
The whole issue came crashing down recently after Ani learned that she would not be able to bear kids of her own. Leading up to this, she and her husband had been trying to have kids and she suffered three miscarriages. Due to the situation, OP’s ex-husband asked her to allow the kids to spend the Christmas holiday with him, and his wife despite the fact that it was not their turn.
He acknowledged that the kids wanted to be with their mom this holiday, but wanted her to make them stay with him and his wife instead. OP disagreed as she decided to stick to the court documents. At this point, her ex went off asking her to consider Ani’s feelings while calling her names. He also stated that she should be more empathetic toward his wife.
