Country singer Kylie Rae Harris, along with a 16-year-old driver were killed in a three-vehicle accident on Wednesday night.

“We are heartbroken to confirm that Kylie Rae Harris passed away in a car accident last night. We have no further details to share, and ask for privacy for her family at this time,” Kylie’s rep confirms to Billboard .
The statement included ways to honor her memory.

“Everyone that knew Kylie knew how much she loved her family and, beyond that, how much she loved music. The best tribute to her unmatched enthusiasm for both is to spread as much love as you can today, and listen to music that fully inspires you.”
She had released two albums including her most recent self-titled EP in March.

Her songs included “Missouri”, “What the Heart Wants”, and “Don’t Let the Walls Fall Yet”.
Hours before her untimely death, Kylie shared several Instagram stories with her fans.

The first, sharing that she was running low on fuel while on the highway. An hour later, she posted that she was able to fill up on gas.
What followed were several Instagram stories of Kylie talking about arriving in Taos, New Mexico.

She explained how she used to drive up with her dad and sister to visit her grandparents.
“Basically, literally everybody that was here has passed away except for my uncle, including my dad,” she says.
The stories seem extra poignant in light of this tragedy.

She went on to say how emotional it was for her to do the 12 hour drive through the mountains, remembering how she used to do the same thing with her dad.
“I started getting really sad. I started getting real sad,” she explained.

“And then all of a sudden, these random cows show up in the middle of the road. And I know that might sound really crazy, but like, there was this time that we always talked about with my dad and my sister,” Kylie began her emotional story.
“I was in the backseat asleep. I was like 10 or 12, and we hit something really hard!”

“And I popped up my head and was like, ‘What was that?’ And my dad said, ‘Cow guard.’ But really, he had hit a cow,” she said.
“I know that’s very depressing,” Kylie said.

“But just the fact that I started when I was on my trek to the mountains, I just started crying and I was sad, and all of a sudden, these cows just appeared out of nowhere,” Kylie added, finishing on a chilling note by saying, “You know, we grieve in different ways.”
It was just hours after her Instagram stories were posted that news of the accident broke.

According to the Associated Press , another driver was also killed in the accident. This driver was a 16 year old girl.
Kylie is survived by her 6-year-old daughter.
RIP.
