Once again, folks, we return to the world of Game Of Thrones . Today, we’re going to be talking about the end of a certain character… even though we lost a whole bunch in this recent episode.

So yeah… Cersei is dead.
She died via falling ceiling as Daenerys was burning down King’s Landing.
Yeah, it was a pretty emotional and death filled episode. Then again, that’s to be expected with the second last episode of a series chalked full with death.
Some are… less than pleased with how she died.
Apparently, people wanted a much more dramatic ending for the woman that’s pretty much been the primary antagonist of the series for like, eight whole seasons.
I tell you, GoT fans are spoiled!
Some don’t want to believe it.
Well, if you don’t want to believe it, then you’ll have to suspend your disbelief a whole bunch.
Unless Cersei has magic anti-rock powers and the ability to have another season, then you may be S-O-L.
Some wanted Cersei to fight… Sansa?
Sure, Sansa and Cersei are tough women, but they’re diplomats, not soldiers!
While it may be satisfying to see Sansa kill the woman who tormented her for several seasons, it would just look weird!
It seems Tyrion’s words were more prophetic than we thought.
Well, if you didn’t think Cersei was going to be killed by Daenerys then… well, you were like me who assumed one of her brothers would do it.
Maybe she should’ve died like Lord Faarquad.
Being eaten up by a dragon might have been a little too cartoony however, if you ask me. Which is probably why it’s in a cartoon and not a serious HBO series.
A lot of people were confused and annoyed.
Which is kind of a running theme throughout this final season.
Every episode that comes out seems to make people mad in some small way, and boy do they take to Twitter to express that anger.
Most people are just really pissed.
You’ve gotta wonder if that “great show tho” is supposed to be sarcastic?
And am I the only one who doesn’t know how to get that Iron Throne emoji? I know, I’m really lame.
There are people who thought she should’ve gone down swinging.
But like I mentioned before, she’s more tactical than she is a fighter.
If she were to pick up a sword it would’ve looked pretty weird. Plus, they brought the fight to them in the last episode. Remember the ballistas?
People have even gone as far as to write their own endings for her.
This one seems a little silly, but a lot more dramatic. It all depends on whether or not you like drama or just bear bones death. It also helps if you like the idea of Arya killing everyone .
A lot of people are blaming the writing
Which, honestly, is fair. There are plenty of fans out there who complain the TV show hasn’t been good since they strayed from the George R R Martin books, which is a fair statement as well.
Some people kind of like the way she died, and hate Dany for it.
Obviously Dany is going to turn into the main antagonist… probably with a big showdown with Jon Snow at the end.
And also, Arya is still in the running for the Iron Throne! She’s not dead yet folks!
There are fans who think everything in this episode was a-o-k.
Some think the deaths work on a thematic scale, or at least that the episode was following a consistent theme.
I don’t know, maybe the payoff for some of these characters should’ve been better. At least we got Cleganebowl!
Honestly… what did you expect?
In a world where death is as common as… well, anything, it’s completely understandable to make the main baddie’s death unceremonious.
Because, like Jaimie Lannister said: “Nothing Matters”. Not even your fan predictions.
Some fans were happy for Lena Headey even though Cersei didn’t have much to do this season.
If I could get paid a million dollars to stare out the window, drink wine, and eventually die with the love of my life, I would probably take the opportunity.
There were people who were mad at themselves for thinking Jaime was going to redeem himself.
Okay, I admit, I was secretly hoping for a happy ending for Jaime and Brienne, too. I wouldn’t go quite this far in my reaction, but I understand it.
People thought it was silly for Cersei to be worried about Jaime being hurt.
I mean, you DID send an assassin to kill him. You should be surprised to see him alive at all, not worried about a few stab wounds.
This fan wanted some appreciation for the true killer of the Lannisters.
I mean, hey, it was a rock that brought them down. It was many rocks, and they were more like bricks, but that’s just arguing semantics at this point.
There are some… creative theories out there about the truth behind the scene.
If Arya wasn’t going to take Jaime’s face to kill Cersei, maybe she took a brick’s face to personally crush the life out of her. You never know! It might’ve happened!
People thought it was out of character for Cersei to not have a backup plan.
What happened to all her schemes?! She had a whole season to figure out a plan, and instead she just drank wine and looked out a window? C’mon, Cersei. Work with us here.
Fans were quick to notice some similarities between our once and future queens.
Maybe if Daenerys and Cersei had spent some time together they would’ve realized how much they had in common and they could’ve been friends instead of enemies.
Sometimes the simplest solution is the one people go with.
Sure, the complicated and intense fan theories would’ve been cool, but there are times where you just gotta take a bunch of rubble to the face and call it a day.
