Kate Upton Slams 'Misogynist Comments' After Being Told To 'Stick To Modeling' For Tweeting About World Series

After weighing in via Twitter on the World Series game six controversy, and being told by a fan to "stick to modeling", Kate Upton fired back at the "misogynist comments".

Kate Upton was told by a troll to "stick to modeling" after she shared her opinion on Twitter about the World Series game six controversy.

“He wasn’t within the base path," she tweeted.

"Those who don’t know the rule you HAVE to run inside the 2 lines".

“Not sure why the review is taking so long…" she added.

Kate was referring to the call made against Turner during the seventh inning for interference at first base.

The Washington Nationals appealed the call, but were ultimately denied.

Dave Martinez, the team's manager, was removed from the game for his aggressive response to the call.

While tons of fans mutually disagreed with the call that was made, the fans who did agree angrily targeted Kate for tweeting an opinion that opposed theirs.

Her comment drew in an angry virtual mob that referred to her as “nothing more than the losing pitcher’s wife."

"Do porn and I'll forgive you for this tweet," wrote another.

This person shrugged Kate's opinion off and told her to "stick to" what she knows.

As though she is incapable of being a model and understanding the rules of baseball at the same time.

Another person tweeted the same comment.

Seriously...? What year is it?

Just because she is a model doesn't mean she can't also enjoy and have valid opinions on sports.

Anyway, as the rude and sexist comments continued to pour in, Kate decided it was time to clap back.

And we are so glad she did!

"I LOVE talking about sports and reading all of the dumb misogynist comments," she tweeted.

"It reminds me that women need to keep fighting for equality."

"It’s 2019 but feels like the 1950s. #feminist," she concluded.

But believe it or not, the misogynistic comments continued — possibly with even more gusto than before.

One person tweeted back at Kate, suggesting that the only reason she could possibly have an opinion on baseball is because she is married to a professional baseball player.

Yikes...

Some simply mocked Kate's comment about it feeling like the 1950s.

At least in the 1950s women didn't have to worry about being ridiculed by tweets sent directly to their phone — unable to freely use social media and escape the misogyny at the same time.

SMH.

This person mocked feminism entirely.

It's hard to believe that in 2019 — almost 2020, some people still don't understand what feminism is or why it exists...

This is alarming, tbh.

This person insulted both modeling as a career, calling it being "paid to look pretty", and women's rights.

As though women should be grateful for what they have instead of continuing to fight for equality.

Who knew that a woman's harmless opinion on a baseball game would cause such an uproar from those with extremely fragile masculinity.
