Pro-Life Couple Goes Viral For Offering To Adopt Babies From Women Considering Abortion

One couple has gone viral for lending their voice to the ongoing abortion debate. Instead of sharing information or a video about the topic on Facebook, they made a post offering to adopt babies from any women who were considering ending their pregnancies.

The controversial topic of abortion continues to be primarily divided between two movements.

The Pro-Choice movement wants access to abortion and other reproductive services to remain open to any woman who chooses to end her pregnancy.

On the other side of the issue, the Pro-Life movement campaigns for an end to all abortions.

Some individuals who identify as pro-life would allow abortion in extremely rare circumstances, such as the mother's life being at risk, but many are even against this notion.

For many pro-life advocates, they believe adoption is a positive alternative to abortion.

One couple who identifies as pro-life has gone viral for promoting adoption over abortion in a Facebook post.

Sarah Marie and Blake Thomas made an offer on Facebook earlier this year that targeted pregnant women who were considering abortion.

The couple have fostered children in the past.

In their post, Sarah Marie and Blake said their offer was "indefinite" and they would be willing to adopt from outside their state of Virginia.

Many people praised the couple for their offer and shared the post widely on Facebook.

For people who had been adopted themselves, they praised the couple for taking action.

Adoption is still somewhat of a misunderstood topic, and Sarah Marie and Blake's post brought a lot of attention to this issue.

Some wondered if the couple would be willing to help expecting mothers pay medical bills as well.

Blake said, "We certainly wouldn't want finances to stand between someone and choosing life so we would do everything we could!" in a reply to this question.

However, some believed the couple was ignoring older children in foster care who were also seeking permanent homes.

The couple has fostered children in the past and their three-year-old son, Kayden, was adopted from foster care.

Sarah Marie and Blake also have a biological son, Elliott, who is a year old.

Others commended the couple for their action but said they should leave a "woman's right and choice alone."

The couple regularly posts pro-life articles and videos on their social media accounts.

In a few follow-up posts, the couple said they were overwhelmed by the response and finalized adoption plans with one expecting mother.

"We have had the great honor of accepting one mother’s request that we adopt her baby. It has been a whirlwind of a week and we are still processing all of it," they said in a Facebook post.

The couple added that they were "grateful" to become parents again.

"We are so grateful for all of these babies’ lives and their mothers, and we feel so privileged and honored to be parents again in approximately 7 months!” they said in a Facebook post.

While the family waits for the arrival of their newest baby, they continue to assist expectant mothers in need.

Recently, they even offered their spare bedroom to any mom in crisis.

Since sharing their post, a number of other couples have made similar viral offers to adopt babies from women considering abortion.

As well, the couples use the hashtag #AdoptionIsLife in their posts.
