Robert Pattinson Reveals His Inspiration For Batman's Voice

Ooh!

Are we going to go with the gravelly voice of Kevin Conry from the animated series, the gravelly voice of Michael Keaton from the Burton series, or the gravelly voice of Christian Bale from the Nolan series?

Remember folks: Robert Pattinson is going to be the next Batman.

It still sounds weird saying out loud (or in my case, typing).

Edward Cullen, the sparkly vampire that made our grade 8 crushes swoon, is going to be the Caped Crusader (and will presumably make our current crushes swoon).

In all fairness, he's been doing some great movies since his stint in 'Twilight'

IMDb

He's done several indie movies that are great, and have you seen The Lighthouse? He was brilliant in it.

However, the most important thing right now is his portrayal of Batman.

Will he nail it? Or will he fail?

There are so many other questions about it as well.

DC

What kind of Batman will he be? Regular Bruce Wayne? Young Bruce Wayne? Ben Affleck's Killer Batman?

And most importantly...what kind of voice will he have?

Luckily, we have some insight on that last one.

DC Comics

He said:

"Willem [Dafoe]'s voice in this is kind of inspiring for it, to be honest. It is kind of similar, the voice I'm going to do, to his."

He also added: "I think Batman has a kind of piratey voice. I think that will really suit it."

Uh... What?
