Hallmark Channel Is Releasing Its Own Monopoly Game Just In Time For The Holidays

I know Thanksgiving is still a month away and most of us aren't even thinking about the holiday season yet. But you might want to start deckin' those halls and hanging your stockings with care because the Hallmark Channel has released its own Monopoly game featuring all your favorite Christmas flicks!

According to Better Homes & Gardens, this game is just like the classic version we all know and love from our childhood, with just enough Hallmark magic sprinkled in to make it a must-have for family game nights this winter!

With this version, you still receive $200 when you pays GO, and you can still wind up in jail if you make a particularly bad roll.

But the Boardwalk and Park Place have been replaced by a Christmas tree farm and a holiday bakery. And instead of picking a Community Chest or Chance card, Home or Family cards will decide your fate in the game.

The custom printed paper money also ditches Mr. Monopoly's face for the classic white dog in a red scarf who's be become the symbol for the network’s Countdown to Christmas programming.

While the Hallmark Channel's holiday movies feature pretty prominently in this new game, it's not strictly limited to Christmas programming.

Divided into four seasons, the board game celebrates the network's films from all year-round.

Oh, and did I mention that instead of buying the usual Park Place or Baltic Avenue properties, you can buy up spaces that are special to Hallmark's original seasonal movies? Drop some cash to own a greenhouse, a farmers market, or even an apple orchard.

I think it's time to get the crew together to watch Hallmark movies and play an appropriately themed Monopoly game.

The board game retails for $39.99 and can be ordered through the official Hallmark website, though you'll have to wait until October 25 to get yours.

Let's just hope we can all find our Christmas spirit and stay civil while we play. No flipping tables during Hallmark Channel Monopoly, guys!
