Meghan Markle Says 'Not Many People Have Asked If I'm Okay' In Emotional New Clip

If there's one person who knows about the pressures of the public eye, it's goddess of the world and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.

Since marrying Prince Harry last year, Meghan has been under relentless scrutiny from many popular British tabloids.

It seems nothing she can do is good enough for anyone, which is shocking tbh because I think she's perfect.

Criticism of Meghan began before the pair even tied the knot.

The overwhelming amount of hate directed at Meghan because of the color of her skin after the couple announced their engagement came to a head in February 2018 when a racist letter and package of white powder arrived at Meghan and Harry's door.

Motherhood in the public eye has brought its own set of struggles for the Duchess.

Meghan and Harry's son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor, was born in May.

Being a new mom is already an emotional and exhausting experience, but it's even worse when the press is waiting to see you fail.

Remember the insane amount of criticism the Duchess received after being called out for holding her son "awkwardly" this past summer?

Now, fans are getting a glimpse into how much the Duchess has been struggling in the new ITV documentary, "Harry & Meghan: An African Journey" which debuted in the U.K. this past Sunday.

This rare glimpse into Meghan's personal life reveals she's been struggling behind the scenes.

While speaking with Tom Bradby, Meghan reveals that the negative attention she's received since the birth of her son, Archie, has weighed heavily on her.

"Any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable, and so that was made really challenging."

"And then when you have a newborn, you know. And especially as a woman, it’s a lot,” she said.

"So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed. It’s um…yeah," the Duchess of Sussex continues.

Then, in the most heartbreaking reveal, Meghan thanks Bradby for asking if she was okay.

"I guess, also thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I’m okay, but it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes."

Bradby then asked if it "would be fair" to say that she’s "not really okay, as in it’s really been a struggle?" to which Meghan responds, "Yes."
