People Are Carving Pineapples Instead Of Pumpkins This Halloween

If you're looking for something a little different this Halloween, listen up. I've got an idea for you that might be much better than the old carving pumpkins tradition you've been following every year.

This year, people are carving out pineapples instead of pumpkins and the results are actually a lot more terrifying. Just see for yourself.

Why are folks doing this to pineapples?

Well, doesn't this look much scarier than a regular pumpkin? I think it does. Just look at that face staring back at you.

What a fun way to stand out from the sea of orange pumpkins.

I bet your neighbors will be jealous they didn't think of this idea when they see it.

You have to admit the pineapple fruit itself is a perfect vehicle for a scary Halloween look.

After all, they already do have a Sideshow Mel hairstyle. Hee, hee.

Carving out these babies does come with one caveat though.

Holding the spiky pineapple may present a challenge while carving it. Ouch! But it's worth the pain. Isn't it?

Although carving out a pumpkin does present challenges, too.

All those guts from the actual pumpkin can stink up your house and will most likely get thrown away.

Now, when you carve out a pineapple you've got all that yumminess to eat afterwards.

Why not have a pineapple tasting party with drinks and delicious fruit bites?

Whoa, that's one realistic looking carved pineapple.

Why do I find this a lot scarier than the pumpkins? I think it's because the pineapple already resembles flesh in a way.

I was thinking of getting some pumpkins to display outside of our house this year.

But now I'm thinking this pineapple version may do the trick even better.

I think this is something people may not expect to see, especially in places that aren't tropical like Florida or Hawaii.

Over there this might be a typical sighting.

Get into the spirit of Halloween big time when you incorporate this terrifying pineapple face into your spooky outdoor decorations.

This awesome display is right up my alley.

The only downside of carving out a pineapple jack-o'-lantern, besides getting poked by the spikes, is not being able to draw a face on it before you carve it.

You just have to wing it!

But that's just the details.

I'm sure you can get around to free handing the design. Right? It's totally worth the effort when you see the final result.

Honestly, I want to get my fiancé to help me carve out some mean pineapple jack-o-lanterns.

And I don't want to hear a peep about it being hard.

What do you think of this idea?

Is this something that you would attempt this Halloween? Or are you gonna stick to good ol' pumpkin carving tradition after all?
