10+ Times Marvel Actors Won The Internet

We all love big-screen Marvel characters like Deadpool, Iron Man, and Thor, but their real-life actor counterparts are pretty entertaining too.

The best examples of this come from Twitter, where anytime a Marvel actor references the cinematic universe, they end up deserving a standing ovation.

1. When Robert Downey Jr. asked Marvel Studios if they could release Avengers: Infinity War earlier than the set date.

RDJ truly spoke for the people when he asked this question. It's something every Marvel Cinematic Universe fan would have wanted, but likely thought to be an impossible request.

As it turns out, RDJ can make anything happen.

That's right — RDJ got Marvel Studios to push the release of Infinity War a whole five days earlier. Sure, it doesn't sound like much, but to fans who had been waiting for the film since 2014, it meant a lot.

2. When Chadwick Boseman wished Chris Hemsworth a Happy Birthday, and not-so-gently reminded him of Thor's epic mistake in Infinity War.

But hey, can you blame Boseman? Black Panther did kind of get dusted as a result of Thor's ill-conceived aiming tactics.

But hey, can you blame Thor? Thanos did sort of kill his broth— I'll just stop here.

3. When Jimmy Kimmel made it clear that he was #TeamBatman.

Yes, yes, I know Batman is from the DC Extended Universe. But Chris Hemsworth got dragged into this one, which is why we're here.

And Hemsworth wasn't too impressed by Kimmel choosing the Caped Crusader over the God of Thunder.

Yeah, Kimmel! Good luck finding another blond-haired, blue-eyed, and totally jacked Avenger named Chris!

4. When Mark Ruffalo asked Marvel for his confiscated iPhone, not unlike a teenager asking his parents for his phone back.

Well, that's what happens when you butt-livestream an exclusive movie premiere!

And then notorious Marvel secrets-leaker, Tom Holland, used the incident as an opportunity to make himself look better.

Apparently, the Russo Brothers barred the actor from reading huge chunks of the Infinity War script, worried that he might spoil plot points during promotional interviews.

5. When the internet was getting hyped for Spider-Man: Far From Home and Holland went out of his way to remind everyone that the hero was dead.

Thanks, but the last thing we need to be reminded of is the brutally emotional death of Spider-Man in Infinity War!

6. When Marvel fans wanted to know where Valkyrie was in Infinity War, Tessa Thompson gave them the answer.

What girl wouldn't want to be a baby goat embraced in the cyborg arms of Bucky Barnes?

7. When Chris Hemsworth said he'd take on the role of Deadpool after an unfortunate birthday incident.

Hemsworth tweeted this photo, writing, "Immediately after this shot was taken my son viciously attacked me from behind (due to his ninja training) and slammed my face into the flaming candles, I'll now be playing Deadpool if @VancityReynolds pulls the pin."

And guess what? Ryan Reynolds was 100% open to the idea.

On Twitter, Reynolds replied, "Weird. My daughter JUST stabbed me in the right eye. (She's not a ninja, but she IS a bit of a d***) Point is, We can finally trade roles... (Happy Birthday Bubba!)."

As unlikely as this swap sounds, Disney did recently merge with 20th Century Fox, the studio that previously owned the rights to Deadpool. At the very least, we can cross our fingers for some sort of on-screen interaction between these two in the future.

8. Of course, prior to falling under Disney's umbrella, Ryan Reynolds, as Deadpool, loved to troll the Avengers.

Twitter | @VancityReynolds

Reynolds mocked the Russo Brothers' request for fans to not spoil Infinity War by issuing his own much cheekier, no-spoiler request for Deadpool 2.

So, will Deadpool still be trolling the Avengers now that he's under Disney's ownership? Well, we certainly hope so!

9. But transitioning shouldn't be too hard for Reynolds, after all, he's already chosen a side in the Steve Rogers vs. Tony Stark feud.

Twitter | @RobertDowneyJr

Realistically, Deadpool and Stark's affinity for sarcasm makes them much more compatible. However, they might be too similar, putting them at complete odds with each other... Kind of like Stark and Doctor Strange.

10. In spite of their on-screen feud, RDJ and Chris Evans are clearly Marvel Studios' #1 iconic duo.

Needless to say, we would graciously accept additional content surrounding this bromance.

Prayers = Answered!

When you think about the personal characteristics of Woody and Buzz Lightyear as well as their friendship, it's almost scary how much they parallel to Stark and Rogers.

11. And finally, we'll leave you with one more MCU-cartoon comparison, courtesy of Mark Ruffalo.

As we were saying earlier: Marvel actors, at least on Twitter, are almost as entertaining as they are on the big screen.
