Trump Trolled By Sales Of ‘Make America Greta Again’ Hats For Greta Thunberg

One would think that wanting to save the planet would be a good thing, but we're in a really weird social era at the moment, and even the most admirable of missions are deconstructed under scathing scrutiny.

Since climate activist and Sweden native Greta Thunberg made her powerful speech at the United Nations Climate Change Summit, she has amassed millions of fans and critics alike. Though President Trump himself hasn't directly spoken against her, a number of odd interactions since the climate change summit have pitted his following and hers against one another.

Cause, you know, it makes perfect sense to get angry at someone who wants to take care of the environment, right?

A number of media outlets managed to snap a post-speech pic of Thunberg glaring at Trump.

Following the release of the photos and intense fear-mongering by right-wing media who called Thunberg "mentally ill" and accused her of being a hired left-wing actress, Trump tweeted out a passive-aggressive statement with belittling undertones:

"She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future," he wrote. "So nice to see!"

In response, Thunberg made the underhanded insult her Twitter bio.

"A very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future," her bio read mere minutes after Trump's tweet.

Greta: 1 Trump: 0

Since these interactions, Thunberg's fans have been creating Greta-themed Trump products with the sole purpose of bothering the president.

Johan Hansson runs an Etsy Shop where he sells handmade "Make America Greta Again" caps, which is a spin on the typical MAGA hat worn by Trump supporters.

He's selling them for around $30 per hat, with 100% of the profits being donated to Greenpeace.

"The little girl with the big heart vs. The big boy with the little brain," the product description reads. "100% of the profits from this cap goes to Greenpeace and their work to save the planet. Available in two sizes with an elastic stretch band, this hat is a sure winner in comfort! It has an athletic shape with a curved visor."

Trolling Trump WHILE saving the planet? Sounds like God's work to me!

Though I wouldn't personally wear the hat for fear of it being mistaken for an actual MAGA hat and all of the violence and prejudice that they represent, these kinds of initiatives are equal parts hilarious and important. I mean, we're going to have to make America Greta again if we want it to be anything other than underwater.
