Zach Galifianakis Shared Which Questions He Regrets Asking On 'Between Two Ferns'

In honor of the popular web series Between Two Ferns being created into a full-length movie, Zach Galifianakis and the show's director just spilled a tonnn of secrets.

This includes some of the questions Zach regrets asking most...

"Between Two Ferns" fans, get excited!

Netflix

The popular Funny or Die web series has just been created into a full-length movie, called Between Two Ferns: The Movie.

The show, which began 10 years ago and stars Zach Galifianakis as its host, is known for being superrrr awkward.

During this time, he's interviewed everyone from celebs to politicians.

Recently, Galifianakis and the film's director Scott Aukerman, gave the inside scoop on the show's history to "USA Today".

Like how guests have to go in "blind" to the interview, which means that they don't know the questions beforehand.

This way of doing things even extends to their political guests, such as Hillary Clinton.

"They didn't want to do it the way that we normally do," Aukerman said about Clinton's team.

Finally, though, they relented.

"People get really worried about (the interview), and then you put it out and they love it," Auckerman explained.

Fans love it, too!

A few A-List celebs even dropped out last minute, despite production being in full swing.

Two noteable celebs who did this include Oprah Winfrey and Elton John.

While the show doesn't usually take suggestions from their celeb guests, they did make a special exception for Jennifer Aniston.

Queen!

When Jennifer went on the show, she nixed the idea of having a Brad Pitt lookalike surprise her during the interview.

YIKES!

It was Galifianakis who asked the "Friends" star if she would be okay with the idea.

"She, I think rightly, was like, 'It's not that I don't think it's funny," recalled Auckerman.

"It's just anything that continues this conversation about me and Brad Pitt just prolongs me having to talk about it.' And so we said no."

Another surprising reveal is that the show's theme song has caused the production huge trouble.

In order to keep production costs low, Auckerman chose what he thought was a relatively unknown song.

Turns out, though, that the song was from the 1976 movie "Taxi Driver", starring Robert De Niro.

Oops!

"I thought it was elevator music," explained Aukerman.

Netflix

"It was a low-budget show and we couldn't write music for it."

The copyrights for the song ended up costing them a *ton* of money.

"It's literally been a problem for 10 years," he added.

Also surprising was how some of the show's most memorable questions were almost cut out!

Netflix

Here's some tea!

It was Galifianakis who would hesitate when it came to these uncomfortable AF questions and Auckerman who would get him to push forward.

Somebody has to be the bad guy.

Like when Zach asked Natalie Portman a question about her involvement in the movie, "V for Vendetta".

"You shaved your head in "V for Vendetta," did you also shave your V for vagina?" He asked.

"I thought that that question was too much," Galifianakis admitted to "USA Today".

"I actually asked them to edit that out."

There was also the time in 2014 when he interviewed Barack Obama and asked him: "How does it feel to be the last black president?"

Yeah, awkward.

Needless to say, the movie is getting major praise online!

The celeb lineup is INSANE!

So yeah...as we said, things can get awkward.

If you can handle it, Between Two Ferns: The Movie is streaming now on Netflix!

This Keanu Reeves moment is one of the best of all time.

How anyone keeps a straight face I'll never know!

And guys the bloopers, I can't handle it!

I'm rewatching this again tonight, lol.

And hey, if the movie is good enough for Chirssy Teigen and John Legend, it's good enough for me!
