Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino Released From Prison After Eight Months

Jersey Shore star Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino has been released from prison today after serving an eight-month sentence after pleading guilty to tax evasion this past October.

Mike commemorated his release with a celebratory tweet and gif.

"Turn up we free!!" tweeted the reality star.

He was greeted by his wife Lauren Pesce, as well as the MTV cameras.

The pair got hitched back in November.

Lauren told E! News in June that their "bond has grown stronger," since her hubby went away.

Mike also kept in touch with his "Jersey Shore" besties everyday.

Pauly D and Vinny Guadagnino told SiriusXM host Jenny McCarthy they speak with Mike "every day," with Vinny saying "He sends me such positive vibes. He gets me through my day."

"He sees Lauren his wife once a week and he has so much to come home to," Pauly D also explained.

"He has a job—he'll be filming—so he just wants to get it over with and do his time."

Mike told E! News, "We are elated to finally close this chapter of our life. Thank you to our family, friends and fans for the continuous love and support during this time, it brought us so much peace and comfort."
