Jenelle Evans' Husband Admits To Killing Their Dog: 'It's Really Hard For Me'

Earlier this year, the world was shocked to learn that Teen Mom stars Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason had lost their dog, Nugget, in a bizarre incident. While initial reports were saying the dog had been shot by Eason for biting their two year old daughter, the couple were never forthright with what exactly happened that day, until now.

On May 1st, Jenelle shared the news that Nugget had died.

She captioned the shot, "Nugget... I’m crying everyday. I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless. You were my side kick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me. You still had a lot to learn and a lot to grow from your lessons. Everyday I wake up you’re not here, when I come home you’re not here, when I go to bed... you’re not here. You’re gone forever and there’s no coming back."

However, the police made a shocking statement implying the situation may have been made up.

Police searched the property where they found no blood evidence or any other physical evidence to validate that an animal had been fatally injured there, the statement said. Jenelle insisted the story was true, but that she wasn't aware what exactly had happened to the dog.

Now, David has opened up in an interview about the event.

“It was a situation where my daughter, her health, her safety was in danger," he said. "This was something that nobody wants to ever have to do. The dog was aggressive. "

"Yes, she might not be huge or whatever, but you know when a dog bites a child on the face more than one time, then it should never be around the child again."

Eason continued to justify his actions, saying, "“If you give the dog up for adoption, one day it’s going to be around children again. If you call the authorities at that point, the law says the dog has to be euthanized."

"I’m not going to pay anyone to euthanize my dog when I could do it myself.”

“I mean, I loved that dog,” Eason said. “I still think about her every day. It’s really hard for me. A lot of people put me down for it, they hate me for it, but like I said it was not something I wanted to do.”
