The fifth anniversary of Robin Williams' death has come and gone.
He left behind a legacy, both in terms of his incredible portfolio, and his amazing family.
So, who are they? What tributes have they paid to their dad? Let's find out.
His eldest, Zachary (he goes by Zack), was born in 1983. His mother is Valerie Velardi, who Robin was married to from 1978 to 1988.
Robin then married Marsha Garces, in 1989. He had two children with her: Zelda and Cody.
July became a poignant month for their family.
Just after Robin's 38th birthday in 1989, Zelda was born. She was born on July 31st.
She wrote on Instagram that the last time she saw her father was on his birthday in July 2014.
In July of 2019, Cody married his wife, Maria. They chose Robin's birthday as their wedding day to change the way they felt about that difficult day.
Zelda wrote on Instagram: "[...] it was the day my Dad was born, and the last day I got to see him.
That last one had begun to usurp the joy of the first two in recent years... that is, until two days ago, when it became something new."
Marsha is an accomplished film producer and philanthropist.
Before she married Robin, she was Zack's nanny. She began a romantic relationship with him in 1986, two years before his divorce from Valerie was finalized.
Marsha and Robin were married April 30th, 1989, when she was still pregnant with Zelda.
Adorably, Zelda calls Marsha "Mushy." She wrote on Instagram:
"Love you Mushy, with all my you-full heart. Thanks for letting me use your wombBnB for 9months. You’ve had a room in my heartBnB every day since. "
Just prior to Cody's marriage to Maria, Zak and his fiancée, Olivia, welcomed their first child.
They named him McLaurin Clement Williams, aka Mickey.
His first name, McLaurin, was Robin's middle name.
Olivia June is the founder of the Hey! Vina app.
With over 8 million users, Vina is described as "Tinder for (girl) friends," which might be the cutest thing I've ever heard in my life. What a cool way to find new friends!
In fact, he worked as a second assistant director on some of the biggest films around today, including Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Captain America: Civil War...okay, so basically almost every Marvel film there is.
She's an actress! (Hey, if you already knew that, I love you.)
She started acting at age 5.
At age 15, she acted alongside her dad in the film House of D.
Zelda appeared with alongside Robin in commercials for the Nintendo3DS release of The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time 3D.
Why? Because Robin named her after Zelda, of course!
Sadly, Robin and Marsha wound up divorcing in 2010.
Marsha filed for divorce in 2008, citing irreconcilable differences.
Robin married graphic designer Susan Schneider a year after their divorce was finalized.
Called Shrimp, her short film focused on the lives of dominatrixes at a BDSM den in LA.
It starred herself, Conor Leslie, Paulina Singer, Frances Fisher, and Jake Abel.
Incredibly, she had the film picked up by a studio to have the film turned into a half-hour TV series! Queen!
She is loud and proud about being bi.
"I speak openly about it because I think there are a lot of people who don’t hear anyone saying it enough, or if they do they hear them, getting a lot of crap for it and I don’t really take [expletive]," she told Entertainment Tonight.
While trying to cope with what happened, she locked herself away.
"I ended up writing 12 scripts, but then you’re like, ‘Is there something wrong with me?’ And also, I didn’t see daylight for a while. So, now I’m doing a lot more of that. I’ve been working really hard." She said.
JoJo and Zelda collaborated together after bonding over the loss of both of their fathers to addiction.
JoJo's song, "Save My Soul," was written about addiction.
Zelda said, " In the end, the thing I am most grateful for is the trust Jo had in me to help her tell a story I know has been percolating in her for a very, very long time."
