Student Forgets To Check Embarrassing Bedroom Photo She Sent To Her Mom

When people move away to go to school, they're often getting a taste of freedom like nothing they've experienced before.

Although a lot of kids have long developed methods of dodging their parents' watchful eyes by then, there's something incredible about realizing you no longer have to bother.

Since they're far less likely to unexpectedly barge into your room, anything you would normally hide from them can stay out in the open without any issues.

However, one student recently learned how easy it is to get a little too comfortable with this arrangement.

Ella Martine is in the midst of starting her junior year at college, but she has a lot more going on than that.

In addition to her studies, she's also occupied herself with screenwriting, singing, and songwriting. She releases her music under the stage name Alkii.

However, a picture she shared on Twitter showed this isn't all she's been up to.

As she tweeted out, her mom had been asking her for a photo of her new living space, so she send one over of her bedroom.

The only problem was that there were still some handcuffs attached to the bedpost.

When something like this happens, students can usually hold out for the faint hope that their parents didn't notice embarrassing details like that.

Unfortunately, there wasn't any such hope in this case as Martine's mom soon asked what those handcuffs were for.

So as many of us see our worst nightmares come true in her tweet, we may ask ourselves how she possibly talked her away out of this one.

Well, it seems Martine was just as comfortable with improvisation as she was with writing, because she told her mother the handcuffs were part of her roommate's student film and placed there as a joke.

And it's a good thing that Martine was so quick on her feet.

Because as it turns out, mama did not approve of any dalliances with those handcuffs and called them "tacky."

So as we can see from their exchange, it seems the crisis has been averted.

That is, assuming Martine's mom isn't on Twitter and never has any interest in checking it out.
