Cookies And Creme Twix Are Coming Back After 30 Years And Honestly It's About Time

There are a lot of things we're totally fine leaving way behind us in the '90s. I'm looking at you, Furbies, Hit Clips, and whatever the heck Crystal Pepsi was supposed to be.

But there's one little piece of '90s nostalgia that has been long overdue for a comeback, and we're finally getting one. Everyone drop what you're doing, because Cookies and Creme Twix bars are hitting store shelves once again.

If you were an honest-to-God '90s kid, you definitely remember these candy bars because they were EVERYWHERE.

According to Bustle, they were first launched in 1990 before being tragically discontinued just a few short years later.

While they weren't exactly being emptied off shelves by any means, I think it's fair to say that people still definitely loved these things. So when they suddenly disappeared, they left behind some broken hearts.

It's been 30 years since they were first introduced, but people definitely have no forgotten about these bars.

Time may mend all things but the hurt of losing Cookies and Creme Twix is still super fresh for a lot of fans. There's an entire Facebook page dedicated to bringing back the vintage treats, though they seemed to have lost a little steam back in 2015.

There was also an online petition first established back in 2014 that racked up 2,738 signatures from equally forlorn Twix lovers just wanting to taste that Cookies and Creme bar one more time.

Now, Mars Wrigley has announced the sweet bars will be coming back in January 2020.

While we won't be able to stock up on them for the Halloween season, we will be able to start the new year on the right foot with a mouth full of chocolate creme goodness.

According to the candy company, this new version of the '90s edition "features chocolate cookie bars, an all-new, soft-creme center packed with crunchy cookie bits, all while covered in milk chocolate."

So, think Oreo meets Twix and you've got the right, supremely delicious idea.
