Tom Holland's 'Spider-Man' Is Leaving The MCU And Ryan Reynolds Had A Heartbreaking Response

In the latest news of things that have destroyed our lives in the superhero universe, Spider-Man, as of right now, is leaving the MCU.

Negotiations can still be made, and this deal can be salvaged, but right now it's not looking good.

The future is not bright for Spider-Man.

If Sony takes 100% of the rights to the character, it could mean dire things for both Sony and the MCU.

In simple terms:

Marvel

If Tom Holland does officially leave the MCU, it means that Disney no longer has the rights to Peter Parker's name.

Which then means:

Marvel

That all the work they put into Peter's character development and the major cliffhanger was all for nothing.

And it opens up a major plothole.

It's especially discouraging since Tom Holland is the Spider-Man we've been waiting for.

Marvel

He was the fresh young face that the MCU desperately needed.

And with Disney owning Deadpool and The X-Men now, it would have been nice to see Peter interact with some more classic heroes.

But now, unfortunately, we might not ever get to see that happen.

And, Ryan Reynolds is as mad as we are about it.

The actor just got Deadpool transferred over to Disney and Marvel.

Which means that his dreams of collabing with Spider-Man are a no-go.

And he wasted no time sharing his feelings on Twitter.

Cue the tears.

Seriously go through the replies, people are really broken up about it.

Jeremy Renner also spoke out about the recent deal.

He is begging for the two powerhouses to reach an agreement to keep Spider-Man in the MCU.

As of right now, Tom Holland hasn't said anything about it.

Marvel

But we are all waiting with bated breath to see what the star has to say about the deal.

Things can still be salvaged.

Marvel

So long as people realize that keeping the story on the right road is the most important thing.

Do you think Sony will give him back?

Marvel

Only time will tell, and until then, we can only hope.
