Bob Saget's sudden death sent shock waves across the world Sunday night. Friends, family, and fans alike took to social media to remember the Full House actor, or as he was affectionately known as, America's Dad.
Now, his TV daughters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are speaking out about the death of the beloved comedian, actor, and father in a rare public statement.
TMZ reported that the actor and father was found in his hotel room in Orlando having just completed a successful show the previous night.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"We have no information on cause of death, and detectives have found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case," the Orange County Sheriff's Office told TMZ.
His untimely death came as a shock to friends, family, and fans of the actor.
"Okay, I loved tonight’s show @pontevedra_concerthall in Jacksonville. Really nice audience. Lots of positivity. Happened last night in Orlando last night at the Hard Rock Live too," he wrote in the early morning hours of Sunday, January 9th.
"I guess I’m finding my new voice and loving every moment of it."
This hopeful and upbeat message seems appropriate to celebrate Bob's life, and a fitting final post.
The twins, who both played Michelle Tanner, have famously stepped away from the Hollywood spotlight and rarely make a public appearance or statement.
"Ashley and Mary-Kate, I love so much," he said while chatting on the Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum's podcast, as per CNN.
It's clear this bond and father-daughter relationship carried on far past the end of their acclaimed series, which I have to admit makes my heart so happy.
"Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man," their statement began, as per Page Six.
"We are thinking of his daughters, wife and family and are sending our condolences," they concluded.
