'Sister Wives' Star Meri Brown Gives Emotional Update On Relationship With Kody

Last month brought big news for fans of the hit TLC show Sister Wives as third wife Christine Brown announced that she is divorcing husband Kody Brown after over 25 years of marriage.

Viewers of the series will know Kody has had a rocky past few years trying to keep his family together amidst controversies, arguments, and several moves across the country.

Now, another wife is expressing her concerns about her marriage to Kody.

Fans of the hit TLC series "Sister Wives" know Kody Brown was a polygamist husband to four wives — Mary, Janelle, Christine and Robyn Brown.

However, as of November 2021, third wife Christine separated from Kody, leaving him with three wives.

You may or may not recall, but it was quite the shock for a lot of people.

Many were surprised that it was happening at all.

Now, Kody's first wife Mary is expressing her concerns about her union with the 52-year-old.

Oh yes, it's true.

According to a preview given to US Weekly of an upcoming episode of Sister Wives, airing on TLC, Meri says, “This is one of the things I like doing, kind of getting away from it all…"

"We’ve got COVID going on, I’m running two businesses, we’re quarantining from each other."

“As a family we haven’t really spent much time together and it’s… weird," she adds.

I bet a lot of people felt the same way, if we're being honest.

It got very emotional from there.

During her confessional, Meri says that she’s been “lonely” living on her own, as her only daughter has moved away.

"I just miss my family," she says through tears.

While speaking to the camera, Kody gave his thoughts on his relationship with Meri.

"I always saw one of the main benefits about plural marriage is that anybody in the family would never actually suffer true loneliness."

To be honest, if you ask me, that's a lovely way of putting things.

Obviously we all have our own preferences and ideas of what makes a marriage work, but her sentiment is definitely sweet.

"The way things have played out for our family, that’s not necessarily true. My relationship with Meri is not the type of relationship where I’m going to talk to her every day."

Meri goes on to say that she and Kody have come to an agreement about their relationship.

"Kody and I — we had a conversation recently, that kind of came down to, ‘We’re friends.’ Which I guess is a good thing. I guess I just have hope for more than that."

However, despite the pair's current situation, Meri seems to be standing by her family.

"Kody has said some things to me more recently that leads me to believe that there’s no repairing our relationship."

"There are days when I get very, very discouraged. Then there are days that I have so much hope.”

“If I quit, if I walk away, it’s not going to get better," she adds at the end of the exclusive preview.

Sister Wives airs Sunday nights on TLC.
