Mom Gets Real About Parenting Hacks That She Can't Live Without

There are a ton of things that parents hate doing with their kids. Sometimes, it's giving them medicine.

Other times, it's trying to give them a bath or shower. And, we all know getting them to eat all of their food can also be a hassle. But, overall, the worst part is when you have to do something that your kids find painful.

Whenever our kids fall or cut themselves, we immediately throw a bandaid on them.

To prevent infection and bleeding, we're all quick to put a bandaid on our little ones with some ointment to heal the cuts and scrapes and prevent some infections.

But, eventually, we have to take those bandaids off to change them or take them off entirely.

Taking a bandaid off our kids is the worst.

Ripping off a bandaid is painful for everyone, that's why we do it fast and quick. Clearly, that's where the phrase, "just do it quick, like ripping off a bandied" comes from.

But, our kids constantly throw fits and tantrums because they know it hurts.

One mom has shared a hack that will change the way you deal with this.

Mom Z’Anni G recently shared a TikTok video to showcase to other parents what to do when they have to take bandaids off of their little ones.

The way in which she does it ensures that there will be no pain and no tears.

Z’Anni G says you just need petroleum jelly and Q-tips.

Things that you probably have right in your bathroom, you need to grab some petroleum jelly and Q-tips.

Easily, most parents have these items in their bathroom so you don't need to go out and buy anything new.

Then, you lather the bandaids in the jelly.

You rub the ointment all over the area where the bandaids are on your baby and then you let the ointment sit there for 1-2 minutes so that it can allow the glue from the bandaid to get loose.

Basically, the bandaids will slide right off.

The bandaid will slide right off of your baby's skin so that it doesn't have to be ripped.

The petroleum jelly makes it slide off with ease, and your baby will barely even notice.

Another painful thing that many parents deal with is having bad diaper rash.

Kids who have diaper rash often times are cranky and uncomfortable because the rash bothers them so much. There are tons of ways to help the rash be less painful.

All you need is Baking Soda.

The mom says if you run a warm bath and you pour baking soda into it, you can have your baby soak their bottom in there for a little while.

It'll relieve the pain and the itching and redness.

For babies with sensitive skin, you also may be interested in giving them specific baths.

Giving kids an oatmeal bath is something that has been done for a long time to help kids with rashes, eczema, and other sensitive skin issues.

This mom shares that instead of throwing it right into the bath, you can use a stocking.

Z’Anni G fills the stocking up with oatmeal.

Throwing in a bunch of oatmeal, the mom is able to keep everything in one area. She also adds some coconut oil Epsom salt on top to help with the skin, too.

And, tying it up allows it to all stay in one place and not irritate any areas.

Z’Anni G is able to use it like a sponge in the bath.

Having the oatmeal and the Epsom salt in the stocking makes it possible to squeeze out like a sponge and rub the needed cures all over your little one's body.
