The Internet Just Showed Us There's A Correct Way To Use Gift Bags

Now that the holidays are just around the corner, you have a very important task. I'm talking about gift-giving people, or did you forget? Ha, ha!

I hope you didn't, or it would be a very lonely Christmas this year. Anyway, if you use gift bags often, you may want to take note of this. Here's the latest hack I found.

So let me ask you: do you like to wrap all the presents or put them in gift bags?

I prefer to do a combination of both. It's cool to see a variety of gifts under the Christmas tree. Don't you agree with me?

Well, if you use gift bags, how do you keep them closed and from revealing what's inside?

You can use tissue paper, of course. But is there another way to ensure the bag is tightly closed? Apparently, there is, and I didn't know about it.

A lady on TikTok who goes by the name Ksenia Senn has figured it out.

She recently posted a video that shows exactly how to hack the gift bag, and I'm going to share her secrets with you. Don't worry, it's pretty simple.

Okay, so it goes something like this.

Apparently, it's all about the strings. What you do is you pull each end of the string through the opposite hole and do the same for the other side. Hmm! I bet you're wondering why the heck is that?

Let me explain it further.

What happens is that when you lift the bag up, the weight of the gift will pull down the strings. And the bag will close itself tightly. Aha! What kind of sorcery is this? Ha, ha!

Well, it's not really sorcery.

It's just simple gravity. And now, the gift recipient won't be able to see what's inside. So you can skip wrapping gifts this season and just do that instead. What do you think of that idea?

Did you know about this hack?

I thought I was the only one, but as it turns out, others were totally in awe of this. And they rushed to the comments section on the video to thank this clever lady.

For some, this hack came a bit too late.

If you've already done your holiday shopping and wrapping, you'll have to keep this in mind for next year, or if you have any birthday parties coming up.

In the past, some people tried their own DIY methods of closing the bag.

However, it seems that many agreed that this is a simple solution that solves that problem. No rubber bands needed!

Since the video has gone viral, others have tried this hack for themselves and confirmed it worked.

This TikTok user was pleasantly surprised to see that this hack does, in fact, work! We all know viral hacks can be hit or miss but this one looks like a keeper.

Other users were thrilled to learn they will never have to use tissue paper again.

Not only will this save you some money on something that you are basically just going to throw away, but it's also better for the environment. Plus, you can reuse the gift bag! What a win-win.

On the other hand, there will be those who will always refuse to try a new hack.

No matter how great it might seem, ha, ha! I get it, it might be a little tricky at first, but you'll get the hang of it.

It's safe to say that not everybody loved this hack.

I totally understand — gift bags are supposed to be the quick and easy wrapping solution. Also, some people did point out that they prefer the look of using tissue paper. To each their own!

Okay, it's decision time.

Would you do this from now on, or would you stick to your old way of using gift bags? Here's what I think. I'll try this for smaller gifts inside the bag and definitely if I run out of tissue paper.

How's that? Does that work for you too, huh?
