19 'Bad Food' Opinions That Will Surely Divide Some

If everyone liked the same things, the world would be hella boring.

So it's a good thing we all have different tastes — even if those tastes turn some people's stomachs.

For example, some don't find Nutella appealing, while others find the brownies from the center of the pan the most delicious, hands down.

Peanut butter on burgers is amazing

You really haven't lived until you've tried this. While it sounds odd (especially when you factor in that onions are usually on burgers), the sweet, nutty flavor compliments the ground beef so well!

A rare steak is a waste of steak

"When I get a steak below medium well all I can really taste is blood. I get no taste of beef or 'small, fine flavors like whiskey' or whatever. I taste the same thing I get when I bite my tongue." - u/UndeadGilroy

Pineapple DOES belong on pizza

"Not only does pineapple belong on pizza, but it's also the BEST pizza topping available. Better than pepperoni or mushrooms or truly anything else. Period." - cami4e.

I can't say I agree, but to each their own!

There is such a thing as too much garlic

Again, not something I agree with. When a recipe says to use a clove of garlic, I measure with my heart and add in 12. But this person says that it makes your hands and breath stink.

Nutella is horrible

"First time I tried it I thought it was chocolate frosting so I put a big spoonful in my mouth. Spat it out. Same for ferrero rocher." - u/rahyveshachr.

I'll gladly take the bottle off this person.

Tomatoes don't taste good and they make a mess

Unsplash | Waldemar Brandt

"Tomatoes do not taste good and when they're sliced the juice gets all over everything so I end up having to use way too much condiment to mask their taste." - u/Dalmah

Expensive chocolate is overrated

This includes the fancy European chocolate kind.

"I've traveled Europe and eaten lbs of it and it was meh. Literally the biggest disappointment I can recall." - u/SheWasAten.

We'll stick with our O'Henry bar.

Whole Foods is overrated

Unsplash | Karsten Winegeart

"They make all their money off of charging ridiculous prices for terrible food, and thrive off of misinformation on GMOs and organics."

We prefer our kale to not cost an arm and a leg. It should be called Whole Paycheque, amirite?!

Fish is only good if it's deep-fried

Unsplash | Andy Wang

"Fish is awful, aside from when it's deep fried. The smell of fish makes me sick. And I'm a fisherman's daughter... he's always trying to convert me but I've tried and I just can't." - u/wild_muses

Breakfast foods are overrated

This person believes that all breakfast menus are made up of the same three items: eggs, syrupy bread, and greasy meat, but in different configurations.

Most of us have been eating this combination our whole lives. Why change it?

Sauerkraut is delicious

"I like sauerkraut, and I am in the only one in my house that does. I have to buy tiny cans of it, so I can have my portion and not have someone else in the house toss out leftovers because they think it's gone 'bad.'" -u/deletd

Dominos pizza is really good

"They have a variety of sauces and awesome toppings. Alfredo with feta, salami, and roasted red peppers is awesome. People just don't realize that while pizza Hut still sucks domino's seriously stepped up their game a few years ago. Also, they put garlic heroine on their crust." - u/nerological

This is such a thing as too many pizza toppings

Unsplash | Chad Montano

Agree! If I get the chance to add on five toppings for free to a pizza, I get nervous. If you add too many, the pizza doesn't bake properly.

Sriracha isn't good

Unsplash | Samantha Sophia

"I bought a bottle like a year ago after hearing all the fuss about it, and I still have about half of it. Something about it is just doesn't sit right, and I usually love spicy food." - u/HeihachiHayashida

Soup is weird

"There's something about soup I can't put my finger on. It just seems like a weird food which is in liquid form but not a smoothie. I don't know, just the idea of soup seems....weird." - u/TheLostCynic

Runny eggs are gross

Unsplash | Rob Wicks

This person hates that a lot of recipes call for half-cooked eggs.

This puts you at risk for salmonella. They also find that the slimy texture is off-putting, which I agree with. I've literally had an aversion to eggs over this wet texture.

Soda is unpleasant to drink

"I don't like soda, it stings my tongue.. It's like a spice to me. Hate it! My dad used to work for Coke, and my friends thought I was crazy n it to take all the free drink." - u/yesitsdefinitelyme

Pumpkin pie is overrated

Unsplash | Element5 Digital

How dare they! Next, they'll be coming for pumpkin-spice latte.

This person is against the pie because, in their words, "it's mushy sweetened baby food in a pie crust. Makes me want to gag. They can only stomach it if it's loaded with whipped cream.

Center brownies are the best, hands down

Unsplash | iMattSmart

"They're soft and fudgy and perfect, whereas corner and side pieces are basically inedible rocks." - maj668.

It's a good thing they said this so the rest of us can devour the corner pieces!
