Woman Explains How She Accidentally Swallowed AirPod And Used It From Stomach

We have all done some pretty strange and daft things in our time, but sometimes someone does something that leaves you questioning every little detail of how someone ended up in a situation.

When one woman posted a video to TikTok about how she had accidentally swallowed her left AirPod, the internet had some serious questions...because obviously they did.

TikToker Carli B was distraught beyond belief when they realised that they had swallowed their AirPod.

27-year-old Carli from Boston posted a video of her "freaking out" and sobbing after having accidentally swallowed her left AirPod pro.

In the original video, which was taken down, she explained: "I ate my f****** left AirPod. I was crawling into bed and had an Ibuprofen 800 in one hand and my f****** AirPod, my left earbud, in the other."

Not thinking in the moment, Carli popped her left AirPod into her mouth and "knocked it back" with a glass of water thinking it was her tablet.

Carli tried to vomit the AirPod back up to no avail, so she went to see a doctor about the issue — I bet that this was a first for that doctor.

After an X-Ray and patience, Carli confirmed in a later video that she had since "passed" the now infamous AirPod.

However, Carli also explained that she had inadvertently been using the AirPod in her stomach!

Yes, once she had calmed down from the initial shock, Carli explained that she had heard noises coming from her stomach.

"I disconnected the AirPod from my phone I played the 'find my AirPod' sound and faintly heard it from my stomach," she explained.

But playing music isn't all the affectionally named "stomach pod" could do...

Carli had apparently sent her friend a voice note using the stomach pod, which consisted of...well, stomach sounds.

Carli posted the above image of a conversation she had with her friend after the incident, and she went on to say:

"So here is where I sent my friend a voice memo about how I ate my AirPod and he couldn't hear it, even after he stepped outside, because it was in my stomach.

"I was unaware that it was still connected because my other AirPod was in its case, not connected to my phone. But the stomach pod was indeed connected and recording."

So, if you've been hankering to send your friends voice messages from the inside of your tum, this is the plan for you!

Seriously though, don't try this at home, mainly because it's insanely daft but also because this happened to another man who woke up to find that he couldn't swallow due to having an AirPod lodged in his windpipe, according to The Guardian.

Brad Gauthier was far less lucky than Carli, as he had to have his AirPod removed via a tube and tiny lasso going down his throat.

You wouldn't think that so many people had swallowed their headphones!

While people have been demanding that Carli share the audio from the voice memo her stomach sent, she has yet to release that — however, when she does, it'll be the hottest track of 2021!
