If you're already thinking of ways to decorate your Christmas tree this holiday season hold on to your socks. I've got an extra special idea I'm about to share with you.

This isn't your typical Christmas tree decorating I'm talking about here. Oh, no! This concept is something I would never have thought of, and that's a fact, so check it out.

Let me ask you: how do you decorate your tree?

Do you put a lot of ornaments, or do you typically spread them apart? Are you into bows or ornaments or both? I'm trying to figure out your decorating style, that's all.

Are you a traditionalist, or do you often come up with modern tree decorating ideas?

Well, if you said the latter, then I've got good news for you. This idea I'm about to share with you isn't your typical Christmas tree.

Oh, no, sir.

This Christmas tree idea is a fun tropical island vibe. Check this out. Did you know that people are making their trees look like pineapples? Oh my! Ha, ha! What a neat idea, huh?

Here's what I'm talking about, aha!

Oh my goodness. What did I tell you? Doesn't this Christmas tree look just like a pineapple? Wow! I have to admit I haven't seen this idea before. Isn't that so cool or what?

It's actually pretty easy to accomplish too.

All you need to do is wrap your Christmas tree with decorative rope or ribbon in a criss-cross pattern to resemble the pineapple skin. I absolutely love this technique here. It looks so pretty and festive.

But remember, you need to leave some space at the top.

That way, you can make the crown of the pineapple using some feathers or faux palm leaves. Now you just need to decorate your tree with yellow and green ornaments or white Christmas lights.

You can also wrap the tree like this for an even bolder pineapple statement.

This is quite spectacular, no? It definitely stands out from the crowd. I'm surprised this is the first time I have seen tree decorating like this before.

Then you can bring out all your pineapple decorations and get the whole island vibe going on.

I don't know about you, but I'm ready to sip on some yummy PiƱa Coladas right about now. If this doesn't transform you to the islands, I don't know what will, haha.

So does this unique tree decorating idea put you in a cool holiday mood?

Or would you rather stick to the traditional way of adorning the tree with ornaments? I have to say I kind of like it both ways. So perhaps this year, I will do something a little different. We'll see.
