The Rock Wants To Be The Next James Bond And I'm Not Mad At The Idea

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is one of the most beloved men on the planet. His style, his charisma, and his charm mean he is the ideal candidate to portray James Bond. Of course, he's not British, so that means there's going to be a lot of pushback but let's hear him out, shall we?

Recently, the 49-year-old is opened up about how eager he is to play the infamous 007.

Of course, it's no secret everyone and their brother wants to play 007 now that Daniel Craig has stepped down from the iconic role.

When it comes to the front runners, we've got Charlie Hunnam. We've got Henry Cavill. I would say IDRIS ELBA, but he recently took himself out of the running.

Now, we've got a new hunk to consider.

Dwayne Johnson is tossing his hat into the ring.

I think it's safe to say the actor would look fantastic in a black suit, bowtie, and martini in hand.

Speaking with Esquire the actor said he'd like to follow in his grandfather's footsteps.

"My grandfather was a Bond villain," he noted during the interview. "Very, very cool."

As fans of the franchise will recall, The Rock's grandfather Peter Maivia played opposite to Sean Connery's James Bond in the series' 1967 film, You Only Live Twice.

"I would like to follow in his footsteps and be the next Bond," he admitted.

"I don't want to be a villain," the actor added. "Gotta be Bond."

I'm not mad at the idea at all, to be honest. I think he'd be great at it, don't you?!
