Mom Armed With A Hot Glue Gun Turns 800 Ornaments Into A Stunning Archway

Let me ask you something: are you ready to decorate for Christmas? Not me, hee-hee. Not yet, at least. But if you're already in the holiday mood, I have an awesome idea for you for holiday-themed home decor.

I recently stumbled upon this TikTok video that shows you exactly how to do it, and I'm seriously considering it. Check it out.

Besides the obvious Christmas tree, what else do you decorate for the holidays?

Some people deck their mantle with all kinds of garlands and festive lights. Others put up different nativity scenes throughout their home. But there's another thing you can do.

I got this idea from a lady on TikTok going by the handle @annemcsherry.

You have to see what she came up with because, in my opinion, it's pretty epic. Are you ready? Okay, let me tell you all about it.

Get this — she decorated her entire doorway with Christmas ornaments.

Oh, yeah, that's right. And wait until you hear just how many she used to do this — eight hundred! OMG! What? That's more than I own for the entire Christmas tree.

So let's look at her process here.

Shall we? If you want to recreate this, there are a few things you will need in addition to 800 ornaments, ha, ha! You will need some chicken wire and some floral wire, and a glue gun.

This lady wrangled her whole family to help out, so perhaps you can do that too.

I think that's a good idea. Otherwise, you'll be doing this by yourself for a while. First, you're going to have to fashion the chicken wire into your door frame.

If you're wondering how she attached the wire to the wall, let me tell you.

She used tiny eye hooks, but you can also try with cup hooks. Command hooks won't work because they're just too heavy for this purpose.

Once all the ornaments got affixed to the archway, it looked absolutely amazing.

I mean, check out this video to see how it turned out. I'm pretty impressed by it, to say the least. But I don't know if I have the energy to do this, ha, ha!

It seems that most people on TikTok loved the idea, but they weren't too keen on doing it themselves.

I totally hear them. Every year I'm so careful with my Christmas tree ornaments so they won't break, and this would be the end of me.

Is this something you would do to decorate for the holidays?

Or is it too much work to be worth it? I totally dig this idea, but no, I don't have time for it. And I wonder how many ornaments I would break in the process. I'm notorious for it, after all.
