Every Time Jamie Lee Curtis Proved She Is The Blueprint

When it comes to beloved celebrities in Hollywood, a few names come to mind.

Paul Rudd.

Jason Momoa.

Betty White.

Jamie Lee Curtis.

Yep, Jamie Lee has wedged a space so far in our hearts for decades. It started with Halloween and has carried on throughout the years with her remarkable acts of kindness, candor, and generosity.

Whether that's raising awareness for sick children, providing hope for those with addiction, or being an ally to her transgender daughter, here's every time she proved that she is the blueprint.

1. When she had her breakout role in *Halloween.*

Few actors have achieved a career quite like Jamie Lee's — and it all started with the iconic role of Laurie Strode in the 1978 slasher. To this day, she's still making sequels of the film!

2. When she and her husband, Christopher Guest were the epitome of #RelationshipGoals.

The track record for relationships in Hollywood isn't exactly great. So the sweet relationship between Jamie Lee and her husband is a blueprint other celebs should follow.

When she saw him in *Spinal Tap*, she said, "Oh, I'm going to marry that guy."

And she did! When asked what the secret to their marriage is, she got frank. "Don't get divorced," she told Today.

"It's a fascinating thing. I could write a book on marriage called 'Don't Leave.'"

3. When she joined the fight to help sick kids.

She was inspired to help other kids in need after becoming close friends with a little girl who underwent one of the first heart transplants.

When the girl died at 20, Jamie Lee became a devoted advocate for the Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

"There's no feeling more helpless than a sick child," she once said.

In addition to hosting events and serving on the board of directors, she started her own charity called My Hand in Yours, which donates 100 percent of sales to CHLA.

4. When she clapped back against her haters.

If the Halloween movies taught us anything, it's that Jamie Lee isn't afraid to take down her bullies! Her epic clap back all started when she hosted a Halloween movie watch party on Twitter in 2020.

Of course, there was one party pooper, who tweeted, "She hates horror movies...she was broke and they agreed to put a #MeToo theme into the movie #HalloweenAtHome."

Those were fighting words that Jamie Lee didn't take lightly! She ended up tweeting back this epic response.

5. When she and Kyle Richards recreated their iconic *Halloween* moment.

Unlike many celebs who try to move beyond the film or show that made them famous, Jamie Lee loves serving up nostalgia for her fans!

She did just that with Richards, who played Lindsay Wallace in the original 1978 slasher.

When the two reunited for Halloween Kills, a behind-the-scenes featurette showed Jamie Lee picking up her old co-star and saying, "I carried you."

6. When she wasn't afraid to poke fun at herself.

As Jamie Lee mentioned in that tweet to her troll, she was the Activia spokesperson for seven years.

During this time, we learned a lot about the importance of keeping bowel movements regular.

So when she started working on the film *The Borderlands*, she's regularly updated social media from the set.

One of her viral posts proved that she's still the queen of regulation! "Ok. #HAHA I can take a joke. My bowel reputation in America has preceded me all the way to the set of #borderlands," she wrote.

7. When she supported her daughter coming out as transgender.

The actress has two adopted daughters, Ruby and Annie, with her husband, Christopher Gest.

In an intimate interview with People, Curtis shared that she is a "grateful student" who's ready to learn how to support her daughter.

"It's speaking a new language," she said.

"It's learning new terminology and words. I am new at it. I am not someone who is pretending to know much about it. And I'm going to blow it."

8. When she dressed up as her mother's famous character.

In case you didn't know, Jamie Lee comes from a very famous family. Her dad, Tony, was an actor who has appeared in more than 100 movies.

Her mother, Janet Leigh, was also an actor, most known for starring in Alfred Hitchcock's, Psycho.

So instead of donning formal attire to the premiere of her latest film, *Halloween Kills*, she paid homage to her mother's famous character!

The resemblance was scary good! She had the blue dress, blonde wig, and even a blood-soaked shower curtain.

9. When she recreated her mother's famous *Psycho* shower scene.

That outfit on the red carpet wasn't the only time she paid homage to her mother!

While on Scream Queens, she played Dean Cathy Munsch, the head of Wallace University, which is being terrorized by the killer the Red Devil.

In the first season, one scene features an eerily similar shot-for-shot recreation of her mother's famous *Psycho* shower scene.

But when the killer tears the shower curtain aside, Curti's character cheekily says, “I saw that movie 50 times!”

10. When she got candid on her past of substance abuse.

"I was the wildly controlled drug addict and alcoholic," the actress told Variety about the issues she struggled in secret for a decade. At one point, she even stole her friend's pills.

Thankfully, after reading an article on painkiller addiction in 1993, she sought help.

She's been sober ever since. Now, she's using her story and resources as a way to help and inspire others to find their footing again.

For this reason and the million others, we love you, Jamie Lee!
