Mom Is Angry After Delivery Drivers Dumps Her Food In A Bush After Address Mixup

I imagine being a food delivery driver can be stressful. Trying to locate people's apartment buildings, condos, and houses all while making sure the food gets delivered in a timely fashion sounds totally exhausting. In addition to this stress, most delivery drivers don't get paid minimum wage, relying on tips to make ends meet.

Now look, I'm not trying to defend the actions of the delivery driver I'm going to tell you about, I just want you all to understand the stress they're under.

Food delivery apps are both the best and worst thing to ever happen to me.

It's the best because I have access to all of my favorite foods in seconds and I don't have to talk to anyone. However, it's the worst because I have access to all my favorite foods in seconds and I struggle with self control.

Being a food delivery driver also has pros and cons, i'm sure!

On one hand, you get to spend most of your time driving, hanging out, listening to music, and smelling delicious food. On the other hand, technology can fail you, and people can be incredibly frustrating.

Recently, one delivery driver completely got fed up with the process that they dropped off a woman's food in a bush after she gave the wrong address.

Sometimes when using a delivery app, the app will just automatically load the last address you ordered from. Most of the time it's fine because you're doing most of your orders from your own home.

However, if you recently made an order at a friend's house and forget to change it back to your delivery address, problems can occur.

That's exactly what happened when mom Jeanette Eriksson-Gray forgot to change her delivery address prior to ordering her daughter and her friend McDonald's.

"I had annual leave last week and I was with my daughter. She had a friend over as well and I said I'd get them McDonald's for lunch because they were being good," the mom said, as per "The Mirror."

"It just happened that I had a McDonald's delivered to my friend's house on Saturday because we were there with the children and it had saved the delivery address."

"I did message the driver twice to say that was the wrong address even before he picked up the food [from the McDonald's branch] but I didn't get a reply," she continued.

"I messaged them straight away as soon as I paid with the right address. He [the driver] called and said I hadn't contacted him, I had, and when I tried to explain where I was, he said 'I don't know where that is'. It was literally down the road, I could see the road from my house but he wasn't having it. He said 'I don't get paid to do that'."

"The picture of the food in the bush is what the driver sent to me, it was in a random bush, I was really upset about it," Jeanette added.

I think the moral of the story here is always double-check your delivery address, friends!
