Grab Your Broomsticks, ‘Hocus Pocus’ Lego Sets May Be On The Way

With halloween upon us there has never been a better time to get a little spooky, especially when it comes to your Lego sets.

One fantastic Lego creator's idea for a Hocus Pocus-themed Lego set has recently receivied over 10, 000 supporters on Lego Ideas — which means that we may hopefully be able to see it in stores at some point!

A lot of people have been, quite rightly, amazed at the fact that 'Hocus Pocus' Lego does not already exist!

Lego Ideas user Amber, whose Lego Ideas codename is TheAmbrinator, recently saw her idea for a 2,992 piece Hocus Pocus set reach 10, 000 supporters on the official Lego Ideas website.

This means that her idea has been included in the third 2021 Review Stage. If the idea passes this stage then it may be sent into production — something which plenty of Hocus Pocus fans are frothing at the mouth for.

The set features an openable Sanderson's Cottage as well as a handful of stunning minifigures.

Coming in at just under 3, 000 pieces, Amber's amazing set includes:

"The openable Sanderson Sister's Cottage, Billy's grave and 12 Minifigures: Winifred Sanderson, Sarah Sanderson, Mary Sanderson, Max Dennison, Dani Dannison, Allison, Emily Binx, Thackery Binx, Binx (as cat), Billy Butcherson, Ernie/Ice and Jay," as described on her webpage.

You would also be able to wake Billy from his long slumber!

Describing her inspiration to design the set, 24-year-old Amber wrote:

"As a child, I spent a lot of time watching Hocus Pocus. Not only on Halloween, but also throughout the year. When I rewatched the film and got a glimpse of the Sanderson sister’s cottage, there was just one question popping up in my mind. 'Why is there no LEGO set of this yet? I would totally buy it!'"

So, Amber taught herself to use Stud.io and set about designing her masterpiece.

The timing could not be more perfect for one of the 90's greatest movies (fight me) to be immortalised in Lego.

2023 will be the 30th anniversary of the release of Hocus Pocus (feel old yet?) and the sequel is already supposedly in development, so the timing could not be more perfect.

There has been an outpouring of comments in support of Amber's set.

"If Lego turn this down again, they are definitely fools. This would be a great release for next years Halloween and with the sequel due out next year, this set would sure to be a hit," wrote one of the set's supporters.

Amber's wonderfully witchy design is so close to becoming reality, here's hoping we get a chance to build the Sanderson's cottage out of Lego sooner rather than later!
